  • That's awesome, Rob! It's amazing to see it on the road, after following you with the videos and seeing the progress. Only other thing you need to do: instead of wearing sunglasses, wear goggles! Much more appropriate for the car. Nice job.

  • badass

  • those old chevy shifters had a semi ratchet action. If you pull it all the way down to low gear and push right and up, it will shift to second without going further. Same thing for next upshift. The other GM shifters (Pontiac, etc) did not do this. Easy way to tell, see if it will move sideways a tiny bit.

  • @Schleprockification - Checked.. This one has no center pivot point, the half-moon nylon slides are the only slide point that moves within the metal frame, there is no side/side action at all on these.. TY -Rob

  • very cool always fun when a plan comes together

  • It's not leaking, it's marking it's territory... :D

  • @jdsprince - If so She's got Acid Pee cuz that stuff eats pavement !

  • How happy can you get? A real milestone. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • cool man =]

  • AWESOME!!!! it moves!!!! Hey on the shifter your gona need the trans bracket also if going with cable, or see if you find a mustang floor shifter, they use a rod and it was used in alot of fords.. justa thought! saweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! ........................Mj

  • @stressfactor03 - Hey man.. NO use of the F word in here.. LOL - I was looking at one yesterday in a 83'ish Mustang. Another is the Geo Metro.. Almost like the Mustang, floor mounted and all..

  • @berkelusa LMAO!!! i hear ya!! but its such a easy shifter to use....... wait till ya price the cable for that shifter......... :) aslong as its a auto on the floor they all are the same............ i put a hurst in my granda 4dr...... long story as to why.......to make it simple it was a C-3 and i put in a C-4 and used the bracket from the shiffer to hook back up to the colum DUH moment! but it worked

  • @stressfactor03 - Have Welder.. Will make IT!

  • Congratulations buddy, movement at last, and for that shifter, it looks the perfect size to have an ammo tin for a cover, once its mounted, cut an 7.62 ammo tiun down to just the top 2/3rds then cut a slot in the lid for the rod to slid back and forth..?? kinds in keeping if nothing else.. Well done again mate.... Del.

  • @Moonfleet41 - Actually I might go to a Column Shifter to keep crap off the floor.. There really isn't much room unless I was to hide it somewhere or move off the floor completely..

  • Cool that it's running, kind of sad we didn't get to go too.

  • @kissoma - I only went to Don't driveway and turned around.. But yeah another Camera ON the Car would have been neat..

  • SWEEET!

  • NICE !!!!
