Three Comments: It will not always work after relogging (built a similar design). Seems to depend on the state of the piston while logging out.
You can actually put the repeater out and it will be ticking faster than 1 tick (but will not trigger noteblocks in that mode)
And you can also use this for adjustable circuits (breaking the circuit at one point using a piston, opening on another point.
