  • Hmmm...

By Brother Ravenhill's description of a prophet, it seems Joseph Smith, the Mormon Prophet, qualifies. God (allegedly) told him that the world was in apostacy and he was to "restore" God's Truth. He was never on TV begging for money. Fearless, he never made "Man of the Year". His following?--5 or 6 million--VERY MUCH a "minority". Not only that, he was shot for his beliefs just 14 years into his ministry.

(Gee! Ya think maybe I should NOT have apostatized from that Church?)

  • Who needs a prophet for what?? Talk to God when we can directly instead, or God to speak to us when we go directly to him induvidually instead now because of the Holy Ghost that sees all and will tell us directly what ever we need to know or realize. A prophet we need? absolutely not! for 2000 years not. The Holy Spirit replaced Any need for them long long ago. What cant we do with the Holy Spirit? Nothing so again, long long ago we were given all we need. 2 Peter 1:3 finalized it.

  • Ravenhill = real preacher, if so-called preachers of today would really teach the bible as they should we would have more real preachers....

  • this guy opened my eyes , mind and heart wide open about jesus and the bible so much that its a shame that there are lots of false teachers , and ofc its a great loss that this man is dead :(

ravenhill one of the greatest man in the last 100 years

  • @beresmeer Good! God bless you and I am so happy for you!!! Do not fear...the Bible tells us that false teachers and mockers will grow worse and worse. Stay in Jesus and what is written in the Word of God! Jesus will never, never let you down, nor leave you!

  • Praise God for this wonderful man ! How much we need men like him,Bold and uncompromising, to challenge us toward a godly lifestyle in these days of compromise.

  • I dont agree with Len on this one, but the attitude of the prophet he has right. And those false prophets running aroung profiting from so called prophecy are liers.

  • There are prophets today, God is raising up the latter rain 5 fold ministry,to prepare for the Lords coming. revealing through the prophets the will of God. bless everyone.

  • The latter rain people is not prophets like the ones in the bible. They talk whhat people wanna hear, not what God says.

  • omevendelse, you are absolutely correct. Most of the prophets were sent to give warnings, not tell people they would have a new sports car etc. Very few people do listen!I invite you to watch my vid "Warning to America of Disasters coming".

  • Prophets don't tickle peoples ears, but warn and declare a word from God that (usually) people don't wanna hear.

God is faithful, before He judges a nation prophets are sent to warn and cry for repentance.

    Amen Lachance8!

  • Luke 16:16

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

  • I have to disagree with u brother...

    1) Acts 13: 1 "Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers..."

    2) Ac 15:32 "And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves..."

Both scriptures speak of prophets that functioned in the church, now this is after the time of John the Baptist.

  • Those scriptures do not disagree with Luke 16:15. They are professing the kingdom of God, just as Luke 16:16 says. There is nothing else left profess. If you choose otherwise, then you must live by the law and the prophets....and you can't stack up to the law, only Jesus can.

  • That's false. Paul talks about prophets IN THE MODERN CHURCH and prophecy various times.

  • where is that in the bible

  • thank u so much. God bless you!

  • Never heard of this guy until recently but every church leader should listen to this man. Excellent, brilliant, superb, praise God

  • Ravenhill is also pretty new for me. I heard about him the first time for a half year ago. I think you can find sermons with him on Lane Chaplins channel. Search for lanech and ravenhill. It is really good sermons that we need hearing today.

  • @omvendelse some of his sermons, in full, can be found on sermonaudio

  • Amen and amen.

  • HE KNEW, ... because he had been there. THERE ARE VERY FEW true prophets of GOD today. ... Tozer and Ravenhill were the last prophets of the 20th century. BE FAITHFUL to your calling IN CHRIST.

    bro.Len

    pastor/missionary/prophetic voice

  • Don't forget Wilkerson. He's up there with Ravenhill and Tozer. We need the others!!!

  • Wilkerson is a worldly backslidden "HAS BEEN"! His pastor (Carter Conlen) preaches that a false revival of "holiness" is coming to America, and warns folks not to listen to those who cry repent and turn from sin. That's the most rediculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Holiness has been the very thing lacking in most of our modern revivals. We haven't seen anything yet that remotely resembles a "Holiness Revival". Wilkerson is just another modern "Bapticostal"!

  • No, friend, you are inaccurate on what you are presenting. Wilkerson does NOT talk about a holiness revival on the way. On the contrary he has been warning of a very severe fall of the US. He has been preaching that for at least 30 years. Apparently you haven't looked into his messages. I encourage you to do so.

  • I didn't say Wilkerson preached that message. I said, CARTER CONLON! Go to sermonindex and look up his sermon called "Beware of the Angry Watchman". The title sounds fair enough, but when I listened to the content of his message, it was garbage. Wilkerson is not promoting the same message he preached 25 and 30 years ago. He believes that perverts in the church are just simply carnal demon possessed Christians. That's HOG WASH! They are LOST! That's why I call him a "Bapticostal"!

  • Friend, it is true that you didn't say Pator Wilkerson preached that specific message, but you did call him worldly and backslidden. I say again, sir, that you are in error. About Wilkerson: You obviously have not been reading his books, newsletters, or hearing his messages. He has been preaching about hard times coming on us for 30+ years, and has been attacked by others for doing it. He re-issued THE VISION in this century. He's still preaching the same.

  • Wilkerson teaches that people can live in sins (such as listed in 1 Cor. 6:9-10) and be considered "carnal Christians" and perhaps even be "devil possessed Christians". Yet the scripture is clear, "SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU, BUT YE ARE WASHED...." That's why I call him a "Bapticostal". That is NOT pentecostal or holiness theology. He has left his pentecostal roots and doctrines for OSAS! That is a far cry from "Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth"! He claims that homos in the church are just carnal! WRONG

  • Friend, do you have any documentation on this? I have recently read Wilkerson's books about the coming trouble (One deals with the coming crisis and what's going to happen, and the other was about GOD's plan for His people in that crisis, both written mid-90's). Neither one got into the things you accuse him of. I wish I could talk to you in person to make sure we are understanding what the other boy's saying. Miscommunication stinks!!!

  • These beliefs were expressed in the articles that he mailed out in the late 90s and 2000.

  • Now, have you ever wondered exactly what he might be saying when you believe he condones those sins? I understand him to mean there are occaissions when some people turn away from something, they may be weak enough to give in at one point. Example: I never smoked, but I chewed tobacco(not dipped) when I was a young Buck. A couple of years after I was BORN AGAIN, I was delivered from tobacco. For awhile, I would slip and chew again once in awhile. I'm free of it now. Can't stand the odor.

  • Now Satan works his butt off to put people under control. He tries as hard as he can to lie to us regarding deliverance. Recall what he told Eve: "Oh, no, not at all!! You eat from the tree and you'll be smart, not dead!!" So she did and didn't die(no death til Adam ate). So it is with humanity. According to you there should be no human life on Earth, because sinners are supposed to die. Wilkerson never ever-- ever-- stated sin is accepted by GOD. So quit claiming he does.

  • I sent you the open letter to DW. Did you not read it? Bro. Connor has well documented not only DW, but many many other OSAS proponents as well. His book, "The Believer's Conditional Security" is the most outstanding and most well documented book that I have ever read on the subject. My friend, Richard Brown also wrote DW back in the late 90s and early 2000s about the very things that were brought up in Dan Connor's open letter to DW!

  • Satan promised Eve that if she ate the forbidden fruit SHE WOULD NOT SURELY DIE! That same lie is promised in the OSAS heresy! You can disobey God, ignore or live contrary to his WORD, and not surely die (spiritually)! What a LIE! You are just a "carnal Christian" or a "demon possessed Saint". How REDICULOUS! Where is the "Fear of God" in this kind of teaching?

  • Friend, that is what I said. Now, it seems you are believing that she spiritually died as soon as she ate it. But she didn't. Genesis 3:7 says the eyes of both of them were opened after Adam ate in verse 6. Read in Numbers where the Dad or Husband had authority over female actions. Not even her contracts held water if the male authority disallowed it. So it was with Adam and Eve. If Adam would've said, "No! She was deceived," then her action would not have been held against her. But he didn't.

  • He NEVER admits that any of these perversions or sins cause a person to lose his salvation. That is the essence of OSAS! If sin doesn't separate us from God, then what does? Lack of faith? Even that is SIN!

  • Someone choosing to sin, that is separation. There is much temptation all over the place, and a person might slip into what he came out of. Maybe that cursed halloween trash, which promotes wearing racy costumes, and John Doe who doesn't look for that gets slapped in the eyeball with it. And because of his old nature he has a thought or two. Will he be separated from GOD? That depends on what he does with it. Maybe he struggles to keep crucified his old self. Does that mean he is separated?

  • As long as you agree that these sins CAN separate us from our God, WE AGREE! It's when preachers refuse to speak of such possibilities that I get concerned! Temptation in and of itself, however, is not sin. You are correct in saying "depends on what he does with it"! AMEN!

  • Friend, Pastor Wilkerson does say those things. He always has.

  • He use to!

  • Some of his predictions admittedly never materialized! I know what the OT calls these kind of "prophets"! It would be hard for me to trust DW's "thus saith the Lord"!

  • Friend, Please don't get rednecked about this. Remember that LORD Jesus' biirth was predicted HUNDREDS of years in advance. And nobody believed that one. Not til the Wise men went to visit His birthsite. It seems you deny everything that doesn't fit YOUR theology.

  • Some of DW's predictions have had specific time tables on them. The did not materialize! He even has had to admit it! What is rednecked about this my friend?

  • The way you are handling it. You yell so loud I have no more ear wax. I say to you, "Sir, you are not preaching Jesus. You are preaching your brand of religion." We all know Pentecostals pick and choose what they want to believe. I know a few and have heard of several more. There even used to be an Apostolic Church here that claimed all that pentecostal stuff. All of you folks remind me of the Pharisees: "Crucify Jesus because He was picking corn on the Sabbath!!"

  • Who am I advocating the death of? Who am I crucifying? I'm not promoting mere man-made traditions, unless you consider the Bible (Word) a tradition of men! Yes, I love the Word! You accuse me of worshipping it! The word "worship" comes from the old english phrase "worth ship". I place much "Worth" on the scriptures! Men have died for the WORD! Thank God for men who gave their all so that we could have the WORD in our language and in our hands! Glory to God!

  • When you claim a person does not fit your theology, then that person is LOST. Are you GOD Almighty? Are you LORD Jesus? Do you know what goes through a person's mind? So you put value on GOD's words--Good!! But what makes you think you totally understand them? By that, I say "Are you done growing?" Man never stops spiritually growing. He only needs the Bible and GOD Himself to live perfectly.

  • I NEVER SAID DW WAS LOST! I SAID HE WAS "BACKSLIDDEN" FROM THE THINGS HE ONCE PREACHED! He has went back on the doctrines that he once upheld as truth! Sir, I never claimed to be perfect or not growing in grace. I certainly have not arrived. I am "striving to enter in to the strait gate". I'm refusing to excuse my sins or failures on a demon or on being a "carnal Christian". This doctrine destroys to fear of God in our lives! This is why I disagree with the direction that DW's ministry has taken

  • I'm not preaching Jesus? WHAT WOULD JESUS PREACH?

"You can be demon possessed and make it into the kingdom of God?"

I though he came to set AT LIBERTY them that were bruised, and deliverance to the captives?

  • None of the folks in this squabble has ever preached such a thing. You believe so, and I am attempting to explain your misunderstanding.

  • Yes, He did. But not everyone was automatically delivered. A blind man had to be touched twice. Remember he first said he saw men walking around like trees? So he must have been separated from GOD because it took two rounds to deliver him.

  • Are you saying that God only does a half way job on some at the new birth? There's no such thing as "half born". You are comparing a physical healing with the new birth. This is like apples and oranges! I have used this biblical account of healing to preach against "name it, claim it" and "confess you are healed (even if you are not)". This man admitted that he still couldn't see right!

  • A lot of folks in church have been touched by God, but they still can't see straight! You MUST be BORN AGAIN, or you CANNOT SEE the KINGDOM OF GOD!

I desire to SEE and UNDERSTAND the things about that KINGDOM! Praise the Lord!

  • Now, friend, Wilkerson doesn't claim to be a prophet, just a Watchman. Because people are not perfect, we can make errors. So, I say again, why not go to the LORD in a fast and commune with Him about people you do not trust? Remember, He is our church, our Author, our GOD. What makes you think He can't explain Himself if He needs to?

  • He has explained himself! It's called his WORD! He will never reveal anything to us contrary to it! PERIOD!

  • I never said He would. But, if you believe you know everything there is to know about the Bible, through and through, then you must be GOD Himself. You are treading thin ice, sir.

  • When and where did I ever say that I "know everything there is to know about the Bible, through and through"? I have enough knowledge of it to understand that the teachings of DW on "Christian Devil Possession" are false! Am I treading on thin ice for believing that everything we need to understand about God in this life is found in his WORD? I study it because I cherish it, love it, and hold it in very very high regard! You can call that "worship" or whatever you want to call it!

  • I'm glad you study it. Why do you never go to GOD Himself about what He has written? If you can understand GOD all on your own, I say again, you must be GOD. It doesn't matter how long you've been saved. Human wisdom falls way short of GOD's wisdom. That's what Satan promotes--GOD is stupid. That's why guys like James Dobson study Pschology--Need human wisdom to understand GOD.

  • Sir, I have prayed at times about the things I have studied in the WORD. Do I pray about it every time I open the pages? NO! Why? Because I already have the "Spirit of Truth" living on the inside of me! If it were not for Him (the Holy Ghost), I wouldn't even want to open the pages of that book! What makes you think that I have never asked God (who giveth liberally) for wisdom and understanding in the knowledge of Him? I have done that for years. You (for some strange reason) assume that I dont

  • Thank you for our telephone chat. Live talk can be better understood than notes like these.

  • You're Welcome! I enjoyed the conversation!

  • Sir, I need you to understand that LORD Jesus died for you on the cross. We are to LOVE everyone around us. the term LOVE is so mis-used and wrecked. Do you understand that it is folks such as yourself that gives GOD ALMIGHTY a bad name? You don't reject SIN, you reject SINNERS. Apparently there are many people who aren't good enough for you. When you do your fast, see if you are "good enough" for Him.

  • Why did you judge me? How do you know that I reject sinners? Where did you come up with that assumption? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for judging righteous judgement, but it's a little hypocritical for you to make an assumption with no facts. I reject Wilkerson's ministry, not his person. You assume that I'm a legalist (what ever that means?) By definition, I suppose that everyone that does something good (no matter what it is) could be considered by someone else to be legalistic!

  • Sir, the venom in your tone of voice is stronger than stepped in cowpies. I apologise iif I am in error, but you should take another look at what you are saying. Sometimes what man says and what he means are not the same, even though they are supposed to be. Now, as for the "rejecting sinners": It appears to me aand others that you are stomping on them rather than trying to shoow them the error of their ways. This is what i read in your words.

  • I'm trying to show others the errors of their ways my friend! Many others have already tried to show DW the error of his way (including a very close pastor friend of mine who wrote him addressing these issues as well as the open letter that I sent you from pastor Dan Connor). He refuses to answer any of these questions. Therefore, we must turn to others and warn them!

  • Sir, if I am in error, then I apologise. I get my views from what you say. You lambast any and everybody. At least that is what your words say to me. I cry over people who are living in stupidity(such as our gov't). That is why I am attempting to show you the error of your ways. Talking is better than writing, because tonal emphasis changes many things.

  • Why do you say a false revival of holiness is coming? Yes, Holiness is lacking. It seems like 90%+ of church-goers are like yourself-religious. Religion is a man-made grope to find "God, Whoever He is". The Satan created christendom with its many denominations and suchlike. Sadly, the Bible is worshipped instead of it's Author. I know, I know--That's not part of your theology. Since you claim to be Pentecostal, why don't you fast and pray for a few days. Let LORD Jesus be your food and hear Him.

  • Sir, The Bible is God! The WORD was made FLESH! Yes, I worship God's WORD because he is GOD! You can't separate the Bible from it's author! That's the craziest thing I ever heard in all of my days! I don't need to fast and pray that God will change his mind about his WORD!

  • No, sir. The WORD is GOD. Our Black Book iis not GOD. Or do you boow down on bended knee and worship the leathercover? The thin pages? The red ink? The Biblle iis not GOD just as the church is not GOD. GOD is our Bible(He wrote it) and He is our church(He formed it). Comme on, friend, get real. How about both of us fasting before the LORD? Or is your god not powerful enough?

  • I have fasted and do fast. Why are you asking me to fast? Why would I want to fast to satisfy your demand? Are you God? What was your point in saying "the Bible is worshipped instead of it's Author" Now you are saying that the Word is God! I AGREE! Were you trying to say that people worship the "red ink, thin pages, or the leather cover"? I've never seen anyone do that in all my years of being born again and baptized in the Holy Ghost! So, what was your point?

  • Do you really? I haven't demanded that you must. I haven't demanded anything. I do SUGGEST that you humble yourself before the Living GOD and find His POV. Yes, you seem to hold up the Bible as your god. Did that book ever deliver you? Now!! It points you to the author, the one Who does deliver!! You are one of those who cling to a book. Everything about that book must be just so, to satisfy you. And, you ignore the Author. Shame on you, boy!!!

  • Yes, the Word of God delivered me! Ps. 107:20 "He sent his WORD, and HEALED them, and DELIVERED them from their destructions". Glory to God Forever!

  • I really know what you point is! YOU DON"T LIKE THE WORD! You would rather fast, pray and FEEL your way into the kingdom of God, rather than OBEYING THE WORD! Your fasting will do you as much good as the Muslim or the Mormon if you have no love of the TRUTH! John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth,THY WORD IS TRUTH! Believe me, I'm not the one looking like a redneck in this discussion!

  • No, friend. You have missed my point. I have no idea why you claim I do not like the Word. I read it daily. You deny the Word. You refuse to go to the Author and ask Him if you understand what He says. You're scared to. He might explain something different, and you won't accept that. I also see you do not understand what fasting is. It is not the doing without something such as food, drink, etc. Fasting is accepting GOD Almighty in place of those things.

  • So Jesus was "accepting GOD Almighty" when he was in the wilderness 40 days and nights? It seems to me that the devil was trying to tempt Christ with that which he had done without! BREAD! and Satan's worldly "KINGDOM".

  • The Bible is "THE WORD"! The church is "The BODY OF CHRIST"! Granted, most denominations and movements claim to be that Body, but few are even close! I don't claim that our church or movement is "exclusively the Body"!

  • I love this video. Thank you for posting it.

    God bless you,
