  • My Sax Ensemble are doing the same song. You guys are very good. Bravo!

  • trevligt att spela, kan man inte gå fel med denna.

  • @Hallquista It's a different "Fugue in G Minor". Believe me, I have the music, and it says at the top right "Composer- J. S. Bach".

  • wow nice soprano playing. We are taking on super mario brothers for a perfomance S: only problem is I have to play the soprano part. Lol i play alto, stepping up to soprano is HARD.

  • @FrontLineThreeD Thanx! =)

  • BWV 947 - Written in A Minor, I think you guys transposed down, right? Good job- ghostly and fluid. A nice interpretation..... more more more!

  • Which BWV number is this?

  • Oh, you make me miss my tenor!

  • how's that possible? lol

  • Wow, amazing!

  • You four are handsome ; ],,,

  • Amazing with Bachs music, it can be played on

most instruments ,the timbre is not really important, If Bach lived today he would use Synthesisers too.

The tuning of the 4 here is very good, I am usually critical.

  • at about 1:08 the tenor needs some work, maybe tighten up your embochure

  • Maybe a little out of tune, but otherwise pretty good!

  • Are you jealous? ;) Please write in English or scandinavian language. "Nie, to nie to, ta fuga jest na organy i nawet czterech muzyków nie jest w stanie poprawnie odtworzyć to, co potrafi jeden organista. Co najwyżej dostaną rozedmy płuc...(webtranslater): There is not then this is a fugue for organ and even the four musicians are not able to play" ;)

  • Not, I am not jealous. Learn rather Polish

  • Dlaczego nie?

    Polska jest wspaniałym krajem...;)

  • @2008Xall dmucha się przeponą a nie płucami....bardzo fajny qartet;]

  • es una de mis canciones favoritas

  • @Paganini191193 Gracias! =)

  • Well and now a comment on the video. Guys I thought you sounded great.

  • Whats the difference a Soprano Saxophone and a Clarinet? (as in sound wise).

  • well soprano sax sounds like a saxophone and a clarinet sounds like a clarinet, just sayin'

  • Well it was a trick question anyway. Because a Soprano saxophone sound just about the same as a Bb Clarinet. With certain differences.

  • A soprano saxophone is a conical bore instrument made of brass, whereas the clarinet is a cylindrical bore instrument made of wood (or synthetic material, such as resin). The cylindrical bore of the clarinet produces tones on a different overtone series than that of the conical bore saxophone. The clarinet does not produce any of the even partials in the harmonic series (which is why it overblows a 12th when you press the register key.) Those different harmonics are what creates the different

  • timbres that make a saxophone and clarinet sound different. Also, the materials that they are made of change the sound quality as well. What we hear is that the clarinet produces a very focused, pure tone very characteristic of a woodwind instrument; and the saxophone produces a rich, powerful tone that sounds like the brass-woodwind hybrid it was invented to be (having the darkness and lushness of a woodwind but with the power and volume of a brass instrument)

  • Is that why the Soprano Saxophone plays louder and sharper than the Clarinet? Does the Sax do better in terms of Intonation?

  • Yes, it is why the soprano saxophone is louder. Intonation is harder to control on the soprano saxophone than it is on the clarinet because the size of the toneholes varies very much and because of the instrument's small size, there is extremely little room for error in the making of the tone holes. The soprano saxophone also is much more resistant than the clarinet in the extreme registers, and so it is overall a very difficult instrument to master.

  • Well there were a few, like Sidney Bechet and Et cetera. But what if you found a way to combine both of them.

  • I would love the music for this. Anybody have it?

  • hey guys your sound great i was wondering where can i find this music or if you guy could send it to me or something thanks

  • I love playing this, but since I play it alone and realize that it can't possibly sound the same, I like to change it up. I go a lot faster at times and a lot slower. I don't know, I like to mess with a lot of the songs I do. I gotta get new material. lol

  • wow. Dude who thought the soprano was an oboe is a moron.

  • But the idea of a gold oboe... awesomeee

  • just because someone doesn't know what an instrument is doesn't mean they're a moron.

It just means they are not educated enough in that area

  • that's basically the definition of a moron;) and saying enough gives too much credit to the idiot.

  • so if someone opened up a body and said what's that weird red organ there and you didn't know it, does that make you a moron?

  • probably, considering if you don't know what the organs are you probably shouldn't be opening up a body. nice try though;)

  • Someone had to open a body at some point to find out what was inside. . . just a random thought. :)

  • okaay....so maybe someone should 'open' a google page or a musical picture book for elementary school students so they can see the difference between an oboe and a soprano saxophone, instead of asking a retarded question. sometimes if your question is stupid it's one of those ones you don't say out loud and you find the answer for yourself.

  • the bari sax could be better... raspy

  • Please can i have the music paper of this Fugue for 4 saxophone??thank you !!!

  • ARE ONE OF THOSE OBOES? (GUY IN RED)

  • no thats a soprano saxophone. tuned to Bb and one octave higher than the tenor. It is straight because the straight instruments are better in tune and better sounding. All saxophones would be straight but the rest are too long and would be cumbersome

  • No! Saxs are shaped that way to look like the letter 'J' in Jazz.

  • im assuming thats a joke...

  • Please can i have the music paper of this Fugue for 4 saxophone??thank you

  • This is not in G-minor, as it is neither his Great or Little Fugue in that key, but it is a good piece. Nice work.

  • Great job. Rich tone.

  • lol

    these guys are freakin awesome

  • very nice! you guys work very well together, and it was nicely played :) good job!

  • super! great job! r u guys in all state??

  • you're an idiot.

  • y am i an idiot? these guys rock! i asked a simple question

  • because they are in sweden

i highly doubt that all-state exists

    in sweden

  • beyond the shadow of a doubt... ;)

  • thank you! another stupid question pointed out!

  • I just love classical saxophone. But i live in oppositeland.

  • I like classical saxophone as well. In high school the district didn't have a formal jazz band so most of my time was spent playing classical music. i think saxophone actually does a great job holding the clean sound needed for classical music. I actually think they should start having them in orchestras but I know the old-school folks wouldn't like that since it would be stayin true to the style in their opinion or whatever, lol.

  • actually adolph sax invented the sax for orchestras because there was no jazz at the time! after a while they got phased out a little, wrongly so in my opinion. Some orchestras will take one or two saxes, sometimes only if they are playing certain songs.

  • oh wow, lol. Well there ya go.

Yeah I think they should start havin more of them in orchestras.

    =)

  • Super j'adore ! !

  • hey u guys r really great! :P

  • Very, very nice. Right now I'm working on transposing BWV 565 to two altos, a tenor, and a bari sax. Problem is, here we cannot play a piece at contest without it being published. Hoping that we get it down in a couple of years, with hopes of publishing it later. From a fellow alto sax player, it sounds pretty well in terms of interpretation and transposition to sax. BTW, I use a Selmer Artist Limited Edition(Professional version of the Artist model). Thanks, I would like to get in contact.

  • nice!

  • which BWV is it ? I've been search the BWV for this song it seems i couldn't find it =/

  • BWV 578

  • it is fugue in A minor actually, BWV 947

  • I love it.

  • awesome, you did a great job. Im learning music at school, and i have learned that fugue.

but i think that, that fugue should not played with sax'.

  • Check out Quintessence Saxophone Quintet - Fudge Fugue in g minor and see if you have the same opinion.

  • Those aren't the same Fugues, though.

  • wow thats awesome :)

  • Very moving..! really enjoy it
