godamn, how can you diss mr leathal fucking weapon?! just because he has a different view than you means he's retarded? intellegent internet, real fuckin intellegent
Danny Glover is absolutely right! Let's me explain how: Global warming=>Ice in North/South Pole melt=>Sea-level rise=>more pressure to the lithosphere (Earth crust)=>Joint at tectonic plate can't take extra pressure and broken=>more earthquake!
If anyone actually read up on global warming, you'd know that the melting of the glaciers changes the earth's surface, affecting tectonic plates. So NO, he's not too far fetched, he just doesn't explain this. And because American's don't know how to read a book or actually make an effort to learn how things work, people just label him as crazy. Seriously people..read a book!
Danny Glover should go to Haiti and say those exact words he said on this video in a bull horn while driving around town. I bet ANY money Danny would not leave there alive...
How can a man be insulted by another man's idiocy? But I digress.
I was uncomfortable with the progressive response to Imus.I was equally dismayed by the black community & the sports press for letting ESPN off the hook for making Limbaugh a scapegoat when they knew what they were getting when they hired the man.
My understanding of the 1st Amendment provision is that it should protect firebrands of all stripes,esp.,bigots.
By the way,Danny Glover, unlike most of these celebs on the relief bandwagon, was down with Haitians,as well as all Africans of the diaspora, from day one.
They'd love to have him down there, because they know that they would have a real advocate.
If DG is ok because he is "down with" these victims of a NATURAL disaster, then are you implying no one without a previous record of advocacy with this specific group should attempt to help? That their water and food is some how less helpful than food from DG?
Strange perhaps, but I would think people in dire need would be thankful for anyone that was willing to lend a hand.
1.)Simply stated,DG isn't just some clueless tree hugger that started getting engaged a week ago.
2.)What Haiti seems to need is less celebrity fundraisng(there's more than enough aid that's being distributed to that country from the global community)and alot more celebrity pressure on the UN & US State dept. to stop the beuracracy(mounting to 1 more major human rights violation) that's keeping the aid from leaving the Haitian airports & actually reaching the citizens.
I agree with point 2. Is there any clear impression of who/what is preventing the aid from being distributed? Failed infrastructure due to the quake? Or is it some government beauracrat trying to make sure he "gets his cut" or is seen as important enough to matter?
That is a point the news seems a bit clueless upon.
I'm sure that in a perfect world that security does infact make aid distribution that much easier, but we're speaking of people that are dying from prevetable conditions, losing limbs from preventable infections, losing limbs with primitive,if any, anesthesia ay all, digging under rubble for loved ones with their bare hands, rationing health care in makeshift triages, etc.
It's counterintuitive(not to mention, xenophobic) to seek to secure yourself from desperate people by making them more desperate.

You really seem to enjoy arguing for arguments sake(not that it's necessarily a bad thing)but I think that the points I made were fairly reasonable and grounded in fact.
The problem is that you keep following a false premise in making this all about volunteer workers and not leadership.
Citizens, esp., US, citizens, are volunteering like crazy--security or no security.
You are correct, this is not about the leadership of the people providing the millions in support and relief efforts for the Haitians. Nor is it about the continuing successes, such as the young lady rescued after 15 days buried in rubble, truly miraculous in my opinion.
This is about Danny Glover making an indefensible statement and using this tragedy as a rally point for his political ideology. All of which you have defended vigorously.
What an ignorant asshole. I dont see HOW people like Danny Glover and Rosie O'donnel can spout out their unscientific bullshit and not be torn to shreds by anyone with a brain. The reporter should have heard him say that and gone "what?.... you think global warming causes earthquakes?.... not to mention it'd be causing the quake DURING a cold spell!"
Withstanding review is not sufficient for acceptance as valid science. To this must be added "reproducibility". If the experiment/data cannot be reproduced, then the data becomes suspect and is seen as anecdotal at best and deliberate falsification at worst.
What a fucking moron... It's almost as bad as the idiots who tried to blame the tsunami in the indian ocean on climate change. It's a load of shit.. WAKE UP SHEEPLE, ITS A MASSIVE TAX HIKE AND AN EXCUSE TO CREATE A GLOBAL GOVERNMENT
Are you fucking blind?!?! What about all of this "green tax", and the money that we're apparently going to have to pay in foreign aid to the third world victims of a made up load of crap? In science, any individual/group that hides its raw data is suspect at best.
This activity alone is sufficient to call their conclusions into question.

People in hollywood especially dumb fucks like Danny Glover need to shut the FUCK UP! But then again it makes sense they put this douche on the radio.
Since the beginning of the foundation of the earth there's been volcanic activity, thus earthquakes are as the effect of this normal activity of the earth's hot core. I fail to see the co-relation of earthquakes and global warming. .
What evidence do you people have, that tells you Danny said the earthquake was caused by global warming. Huh?
I have looked for the connection, but it's not in the video.
I have no problem with you disliking Glover, and making snide comments to that effect, but you are really reaching if you think his words in this video implies the earthquake was caused by climate change.
wow ,how could you not take what he said as moronic if he clearly states that that what happened in copenhagen was a result of what happened in haiti! Mornic views for moronic people i guess,no disrespect intended but you look kind of moronic with your statement .
Because I hear him say internationalism, and that disaster can happen anywhere and organizing help on an international scale is going to be needed when we start responding to other disasters, like those that will be caused by global warming.
He tries to express the vulnerability of Caribbean countries to natural disasters. The amount of threats to the region, according to Glover, are going to increase because of global warming. Whether by earthquake or hurricanes. He claims that tragedies like the one in Haiti will happen again if we fail to act like we did in Copenhagen. He does not say that global warming caused the tragedy in Haiti but that impoverished nations in the area are especially vulnerable to natures destruction.
He was discussing the earthquake, as everyone was the first few days after.
He says repeatedly "this". "This" refers to the earthquake.
He further states "when we did what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen this is the response. This is what happens". At no point does he mention "natural disasters" or imply hurricanes or storms or flooding related to polar ice caps melting.
His words. He was talking about the earthquake. "this is the response" (the earthquake was the response) to "what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen".
Those are his words and sadly, it is probably exactly what he meant.
You want to argue hurricanes are influenced by climate change? That is a strong argument. You want to argue earthquakes are caused by global warming? That is incredibly flimsy and will require strong evidence.
I can't make any sense of your interpretation, that the "earthquake was the response" to Copenhagen. Just doesn't make sense.
An earthquake was aware of Copenhagen?
I think the "response" was the international community coming to the aid of Haiti, and that this international response will happen more and more in the coming years, as climate related disasters become more frequent.
If Danny could put a sentence together, we would know what he meant.
What took place in Copenhagen was not merely,or even primarily, about the issue of climate change. But it was as much about policy influence of the Global North(the worlds wealthiest nations)on the Global South(so-called 'Third World' nations.)
This is precisely what Danny Glover is alluding to:
the question of accountability and motive of those nations whose relations have had a direct impact(even up to the current bureaucracy of aid distribution)on the scale of this event.
Have you even listened to this post?He clearly speaks of how climate change 'imperils'--to use his exact word--underdeveloped nations, esp.small islands.
And the 'modernization'(a euphemism for wholesale industrialization)which,in Haiti's case, directly involves deforrestation of arable land & forced migration to urban centers certainly contributed to the scale of event in any sensible persons mind...
....Again,where did Danny Glover say,in this recording, that,"The earthquake was caused by global warming?"
He only states the effect of global warming on,not only Haiti, but only other islands in the Carribean,as well.
Even if he did mispeak(which I don't think he did)Danny Glover,a veritable scholar on Haiti, givin' his lonstanting history of human rights activism, shouldn't be judged categorically by one phrase if Harry Reid isn't.
That's precisely the issue--what he meant by such vague logic.Given his record as an advocate for the poor, though, along with his degree of consciousness about what contributes to global poverty,I think it's safe to infer that he was speaking with reference to the economic implications of Copenhagen.
btw:Being black myself,I was hardly offended by Reid's comments. But,then again, that makes perfect sense;he actually insulted the race-ethics of whites.
Your made the Reid comment, apparently trying to prove I was not applying the same standard to a US Senator. But I did.
I am not a liberal. I am not capable of looking into someone's heart and determining what they actually felt or into their mind and determining their thoughts. Instead, I look at their words and actions and judge them on that.
Danny Glover's words are the issue. What he SAID.
If he didnt mean it, he should make a statement to correct the misunderstanding.
1.)If you look at actions and the complete person as you say you do then you don't judge based on the latest bit of tabloid anecdotage;that's naive & provencial.
2.)I made the Reid comments alluding to the fact that partisan politics from the right played the same role that they did in Glover's comments.
Lastly(and i'm going to end this because were going in logic circles)show me where he says verbatim,"The Earthquake in Haiti was caused by global warming,"and i'll concede that he misspoke.
1) I look at the actions, but a single set of actions/words deserves attention also. example: Tom Cruise's comments regarding pharmacology branded him a cultist and idiot.
2) Reid is on the left, far left and still saw fit to make these comments. IMO had a staunchly right wing Senator made these comments, he would not have received support from the same groups Reid did.
He did not state those exact words. I have given his exact words. Most people agree with my interpretation.
1.)I would never suggest that we just dismiss people's words.Just that we be smart enough to keep them in context to insure a more nationally sobor response.
2.)Scientology branded Cruise an cultist.Again-action + words.
3.)Reid?A leftist(much less 'far')?LOL
The man doesn't even support reproductive rights! He's a corporate Dem like the rest.
The point is it wasn't the Al Sharptons of the world but none other than RNC chairman Micheal Steele that blew up the controversy...
You requested I provide you with something he did not say as an exact quote.
Bet I could ask you to provide an exact quote (in my chose words) of Danny Glover supporting the cause of the poverty stricken. And you would be unable to do so, because I would make sure he had not said those words before I 'requested' the quote.
But could I then say he did not support the poor because you could not find that exact quote?
Namely, that what was 'meant' could possibly be,at best, infered from who the person is given something such as an informal,vague,off-the cuff statement.
Right wing media and a not so thoughful public are going apeshit over the man's disorganized, emotional remarks.Period.
So you are saying Danny Glover's previous work with the poor and destitute precludes him from believing something stupid?
There is no evidence to support that claim. Conversely, there is evidence to support he does believe the earthquake was caused by global warming. That evidence is his own words.
@thirdshift47 I'm not 'apeshit' you fool, I'm upset that someone can spout such blither and not be completely renounced. If I publicly said 'Muslims are causing the ice caps to melt.' Or some other COMPLETELY unsubstantiated and political comment, I expect to be torn to shreds. If you are famous, and you pull political criticism out of your ASS, and you make a quote on national television, fools will believe you! Therefore they MUST be accountable when what they are preaching is nonsense.
Reid is not as far left as Obama, but is considered to be left of "center".
And it is typical for your opponents to point out your mistakes. The democrats point out the mistakes of the republicans. Part of that whole checks and balances thing. I personally like the parties watching each other. I just wish they would apply uniform rules to themselves also.
btw, there are LOTS of democrats that dont agree in the current widespread access to abortion services.
If you where not insulted by Reid's comments, then let me ask you, where you insulted by Rush's comments about the NFL or by Imus's comments about "nappy headed hoes"?
Glover is a joke. Had Gibsons dog been Murtaugh or maybe Murtaugh had been Gibsons make believe friend the Lethal Weapon Movies would have been a smash hit.
Glover. You got lucky. Lethal Weapons success had absolutely " 0 " to do with you.
Many planets & moons in our solar system have warmed & cooled in unison with the Earth. Google: Solar system warming.
Examinations of the geologic & ice core record have shown that rising temperatures have always PRECEEDED rising CO2, by about 800 years. YouTube search : Global warming swindle.
The Earth has been cooling for 12 straight years, dispite predictions it would warm.
The United States may be experiencing one of the coldest winters in decades, but things continue to heat up in the Southern Hemisphere. Data from NASA that indicates that 2009 was the hottest year on record south of the Equator. The find adds to multiple lines of evidence showing that the 2000s were the warmest decade in the modern instrumental record.
A few climate scientists are even predicting that 2010 will be such a year.
You people can always modify your opinion at that time. Or not . .
He's too old for that s%^& - Global warming debates I steer clear of. Saving energy makes sense, but the rest is down to personal interpretation of data... I hardly call the earliest instrumental recording of data in the 1800's qualifying scientific evidence. But again, just my opinion... At the end of the day, I don't really care what anyone else thinks.
Well Mr Danny Glover....since you are such an America hater....please leave my country. Just get the fuck out and don't come back. Don't come back.... not even to sell us one of your shitty movies. The only reason you even have a voice is because you are the United States of America. So Mr. Glover....GET OUT!!!!! GET THE FUCK OUT!!!!!!!!1
Yes, MY country. Born and raised and served in the Gulf War. Fighting to save your sorry ass so you can sit on your computer and tell everyone what we are doing wrong. Get a life.
You sound like Al Gore, very original. Yes I believed the Global Warming Theory, and the the hypothesis that AMG is the cause of a possible climatic change that may or may not happen is a persuasive one. I looked into it on my own when Al Gore's movie came out. Based upon what I knew of the man, I voted for btw, he and his family have run this type of political scam before. So I became skeptical of the science, it turns out his hockey stick graph is backwards. I dug deeper and now don't believe
Well, it's good that you researched for yourself. But, Al Gore was a spokesperson for a massive group of climatologists, who have concluded that the planet is warming. You can believe what you want about Gore and his family history. I have no knowledge of this. But there is no way to get a coalition of scientists to conclude that the planet is warming, unless it's the truth.
The hockey stick is not upside down. You missed the main argument regarding that graph.
The hockey stick was disputed way back in the 1970s, so many researchers decided to do their own research. In the final analysis, the temperature fluctuations through centuries were debatable. But the sharp rise in average global temperature in the twentieth century was clearly shown in ALL alternative research graphs.
This IS the crux of the issue. The planet is warming. This is no longer disputed.
Al Gore has dedicated HIS LIFE to saving our planet! Our globe is heating up at an alarming rate and might be the death of us all !!!... I am going to put as much money as I can extra in my tax return this year and ask that it be given directly to Al Gore. The man is a saint. Saint Gore... You'll see.. someday, you will be driving down the street and instead of a plastic Jesus on your dash... it will be a plastic Al Gore standing on an iceberg.
Dude if you really believe that crazy BS you better go put a cork in Michael Moores' butt. That fat a!@ could fart and a techtonic plate will jump up and knock your house down!
Global warming is a myth! When I asked a science teacher that I know, "How come we still have winter if there is global warming?" He answered, "Well everyone knows that there is an increase in cold weather with global warming!" WHAT?
This calls for a Battle of the Titans. Danny Glover should debate Pat Robertson over the true cause of this terrible disaster. "Was it caused Global Warming or God's Wrath Over Voodoo". Just to make it fair, any mention of Plate Tectonics will automatically disqualify a participant... but, what am I thinking?!! There's no chance of either one of them bringing that up because it has some basis in reality.
Danny Glover has been the village idiot for years...hanging out with Hugo Chavez....and now this. I think he should make movies with Al Gore, that would be funny. Maybe a human rights/global warming/pro communist love story? Maybe it could be called, "Al, Hugo, and Me....a Love Story" and they could get Michael Moore to direct it. I smell an Oscar.
God is upset and caused the earthquake because people didn't listen to God's warning about climate change. If we had listened, God would never have allowed the earthquake. Danny Glover is a saint and exactly correct. We should be sending all our money to Haiti right now and when they are all set, we need to pay heed to Obama and cap and trade and send extra money in our taxes this year to help the best we can . God wants it that way. God bless you and God bless Danny Glover. Amen....
Is it just me or are all the actors who's work I've enjoyed over the years, a little bit fuckin nutty? Tom Cruise, Mel Gibson, Danny Glover!

The UN stated that aid wouldn't be recieved until security could be insured.
Kind of ironic,huh?--Depriving the those that most in need of security(aid) in order to insure the security of those least in need.
Also, the US military seems to have totally commandeered the logistical side of the relief, dictating whom can deliver & when.
And a complete lack of any noticeable Haitian authority on the ground organizing the effort only adds to its poor management.

3rdshift:
Having been one of those delivering aid to those in need, I assure you, you get a lot more volunteers when the trucks are not being overrun by mobs.

The ultimate test of any ideal is, would you do it?
If there are thousands that believe as you do, then there are plenty of volunteers, starting with you.

Since the beginning of the foundation of the earth there's been volcanic activity, thus earthquakes are as the effect of this normal activity of the earth's hot core. I fail to see the co-relation of earthquakes and global warming. .
Danny.... You are an idiot!!!

Danny, lay off the coke!
5158307 2 years ago 2
What evidence do you people have, that tells you Danny said the earthquake was caused by global warming. Huh?
I have looked for the connection, but it's not in the video.
I have no problem with you disliking Glover, and making snide comments to that effect, but you are really reaching if you think his words in this video implies the earthquake was caused by climate change.
Reaganite3 2 years ago
wow ,how could you not take what he said as moronic if he clearly states that that what happened in copenhagen was a result of what happened in haiti! Mornic views for moronic people i guess,no disrespect intended but you look kind of moronic with your statement .
MRELTUCO 2 years ago
Because I hear him say internationalism, and that disaster can happen anywhere and organizing help on an international scale is going to be needed when we start responding to other disasters, like those that will be caused by global warming.
What did you hear him say?
Reaganite3 2 years ago
are you deaf? do you not clearly hear him? or are you a troll?you need help man.
MRELTUCO 2 years ago
He tries to express the vulnerability of Caribbean countries to natural disasters. The amount of threats to the region, according to Glover, are going to increase because of global warming. Whether by earthquake or hurricanes. He claims that tragedies like the one in Haiti will happen again if we fail to act like we did in Copenhagen. He does not say that global warming caused the tragedy in Haiti but that impoverished nations in the area are especially vulnerable to natures destruction.
Reaganite3 2 years ago
i apologize for my comments,my speakers would not let me clearly hear what he really said.i turned my bass down and i agree with you sir.
MRELTUCO 2 years ago
Reaganite:
No. Listen again to what he said.
His words.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
You are correct that he doesn't mention natural disasters, by name, but it is how I perceive the his comments.
At no point does Danny Glover Blame the Earthquake on Global Warming, in those exact words, so you have also made an assumption.
The clincher for me is the combination of :
- Internationalism
- Seize the moment
- All of this peril
- Threats posed by climate change
These are words that I hear him speak.
The threats posed by climate change WILL BE natural disasters . . .
Reaganite3 2 years ago
Reaganite:
You are cherry picking his words.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
Well I agree that his statement was jumbled.
Reaganite3 2 years ago
Reagan:
The "response" is not a positive thing. I believe the international community responding to the Haiti disaster can not be seen as negative, do you?
Therefore, the international response is not what he is indicating.
And no, an earthquake is not aware of human affairs. That is why the statement is so nonsensical.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
What took place in Copenhagen was not merely,or even primarily, about the issue of climate change. But it was as much about policy influence of the Global North(the worlds wealthiest nations)on the Global South(so-called 'Third World' nations.)
This is precisely what Danny Glover is alluding to:
the question of accountability and motive of those nations whose relations have had a direct impact(even up to the current bureaucracy of aid distribution)on the scale of this event.
thirdshift47 2 years ago
3rdshift:
Perhaps that is what DG meant to say. It was not what he said.
He blamed the occurance of an earthquake on the lack of his idea of progress being met in Copenhagen.
Those were his words.
Has anyone seen any retraction of these words? Surely he has noticed by now they were taken badly, if he did not actually mean what it seems he meant.
I have not seen anything to indicate he feels he was misunderstood.
Have you?
Leonid3s 2 years ago
Umm--Have you heard the entire interview?
Have you even listened to this post?He clearly speaks of how climate change 'imperils'--to use his exact word--underdeveloped nations, esp.small islands.
And the 'modernization'(a euphemism for wholesale industrialization)which,in Haiti's case, directly involves deforrestation of arable land & forced migration to urban centers certainly contributed to the scale of event in any sensible persons mind...
thirdshift47 2 years ago
....Again,where did Danny Glover say,in this recording, that,"The earthquake was caused by global warming?"
He only states the effect of global warming on,not only Haiti, but only other islands in the Carribean,as well.
Even if he did mispeak(which I don't think he did)Danny Glover,a veritable scholar on Haiti, givin' his lonstanting history of human rights activism, shouldn't be judged categorically by one phrase if Harry Reid isn't.
thirdshift47 2 years ago
3rdShift:
Yes, I listened to the entire recording. I transcribed it to my channel.
Danny Glover was discussing the earthquake and repeatedly used the pronoun "this" to indicate it. Given that, these are his exact words:
"when we did what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen this is the response. This is what happens."
Which part of that is not clear? Which "this" did you think he meant?
btw: Reid should be judged. His comments were racist and insulting.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
"Which 'this' do you think he meant?"
But,then again, that makes perfect sense;he actually insulted the race-ethics of whites.
thirdshift47 2 years ago
3rdshift:
Your made the Reid comment, apparently trying to prove I was not applying the same standard to a US Senator. But I did.
I am not a liberal. I am not capable of looking into someone's heart and determining what they actually felt or into their mind and determining their thoughts. Instead, I look at their words and actions and judge them on that.
Danny Glover's words are the issue. What he SAID.
If he didnt mean it, he should make a statement to correct the misunderstanding.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
1.)If you look at actions and the complete person as you say you do then you don't judge based on the latest bit of tabloid anecdotage;that's naive & provencial.
2.)I made the Reid comments alluding to the fact that partisan politics from the right played the same role that they did in Glover's comments.
Lastly(and i'm going to end this because were going in logic circles)show me where he says verbatim,"The Earthquake in Haiti was caused by global warming,"and i'll concede that he misspoke.
thirdshift47 2 years ago
3rdshift:
1) I look at the actions, but a single set of actions/words deserves attention also. example: Tom Cruise's comments regarding pharmacology branded him a cultist and idiot.
2) Reid is on the left, far left and still saw fit to make these comments. IMO had a staunchly right wing Senator made these comments, he would not have received support from the same groups Reid did.
He did not state those exact words. I have given his exact words. Most people agree with my interpretation.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
1.)I would never suggest that we just dismiss people's words.Just that we be smart enough to keep them in context to insure a more nationally sobor response.
2.)Scientology branded Cruise an cultist.Again-action + words.
3.)Reid?A leftist(much less 'far')?LOL
The man doesn't even support reproductive rights! He's a corporate Dem like the rest.
The point is it wasn't the Al Sharptons of the world but none other than RNC chairman Micheal Steele that blew up the controversy...
thirdshift47 2 years ago
...."He did not state those exact words."
"...My INTERPRETATION..."
I rest my case.
"Most people agree..."
You really don't want to know what I think of public consensus.
thirdshift47 2 years ago
3rd:
You requested I provide you with something he did not say as an exact quote.
Bet I could ask you to provide an exact quote (in my chose words) of Danny Glover supporting the cause of the poverty stricken. And you would be unable to do so, because I would make sure he had not said those words before I 'requested' the quote.
But could I then say he did not support the poor because you could not find that exact quote?
of course not.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
You're still proving my argument for me.
Namely, that what was 'meant' could possibly be,at best, infered from who the person is given something such as an informal,vague,off-the cuff statement.
Right wing media and a not so thoughful public are going apeshit over the man's disorganized, emotional remarks.Period.
thirdshift47 2 years ago
3rdshift:
So you are saying Danny Glover's previous work with the poor and destitute precludes him from believing something stupid?
There is no evidence to support that claim. Conversely, there is evidence to support he does believe the earthquake was caused by global warming. That evidence is his own words.
Period.
Leonid3s 2 years ago
I'm saying that based on what I heard I 'interpreted' something far different.
Simple as that.
thirdshift47 2 years ago

Or not . .

This is not proof of global cooling, and it won't disprove the "THEORY" of global warming.
chewbaca1989 2 years ago
You don't seem to understand what a scientific theory is. It is based on facts.
It is not like you saying "I have a theory about so and so. That is more of a hunch.
It is based on irrefutable records of the Earth's climate over centuries.
Reaganite3 2 years ago
You sound like Al Gore, very original. Yes I believed the Global Warming Theory, and the the hypothesis that AMG is the cause of a possible climatic change that may or may not happen is a persuasive one. I looked into it on my own when Al Gore's movie came out. Based upon what I knew of the man, I voted for btw, he and his family have run this type of political scam before. So I became skeptical of the science, it turns out his hockey stick graph is backwards. I dug deeper and now don't believe
chewbaca1989 2 years ago 3
Well, it's good that you researched for yourself. But, Al Gore was a spokesperson for a massive group of climatologists, who have concluded that the planet is warming. You can believe what you want about Gore and his family history. I have no knowledge of this. But there is no way to get a coalition of scientists to conclude that the planet is warming, unless it's the truth.
The hockey stick is not upside down. You missed the main argument regarding that graph.
Reaganite3 2 years ago
The hockey stick was disputed way back in the 1970s, so many researchers decided to do their own research. In the final analysis, the temperature fluctuations through centuries were debatable. But the sharp rise in average global temperature in the twentieth century was clearly shown in ALL alternative research graphs.
This IS the crux of the issue. The planet is warming. This is no longer disputed.
You move . . .

The reason we still have winter, is because the Earth still orbits the Sun. It has to do with the Earth's orbit too, and also the Earth's tilt.
