  • Background music suck deep. Ritchie was brain dead at that time in Rainbow.

  • @aivopark

Well, he didn´t even wrote the song, he just made good money out of it anyway.

    Cheers,

    Robin :o)

  • TBH: I can,t stand this hit. Never understand why Ritchie was keen on this pop(s)hit.

  • @GBWagner1 PS: no offence taken! Im simply always sincere and flat.

  • it stays in tune???

  • @kingmonster12

Yeah, not when doing crazy dive bombs but pretty much. Have a look at my video review of the Fender Blackmore, thx.

    Cheers,

    Robin :o)

  • hi i´m Juan Motta from Uruguay and i´m interested in hear this pickups using clean and overdvrien tone from a tube amp like a fender of marshall.

    Thanks

  • @cenizasblancas just bought this guitar, the clean sound is awesome too!

  • WTF is a Dummy picup?????

  • @MultiPowerage

a dummy pickup is an ..... empty plastic cap that tends to look like a pickup

    Cheers,

    Robin :o)

  • @RobinStrower So it´s not a pickup?

  • @MultiPowerage

    It´s not a pickup.

In the middle position both pickups are connected, like in a Telecaster. That sound is really awesome and very usefull esp. for clean and slightly distorted sounds.

  • @RobinStrower Ok, Thanks!!!

  • Just compared one of these to the Yngwie model.

The scallops on the Yngwie model were so deep the thing was just unplayable for me. The RB is a better axe IMO....and 1/2 the price.

  • @jwandhistools

    Hi J,

    exactly that \m/

  • How are the scalloped frets? Is it easier or harder to play? What about bending? Nice guitar!

  • @SappigeAjuin

The neck is absolutely great, the scalloping is so well done by Fender. Playing is harder because you have a lot more control over the string, but that´s the good thing also, having way more control is absolutely fantastic.

Fretting the strings is easier because you can put the finger(s) at every angle you wish (straight above no problem)-chords.

Bending is way easier, you can use any string gauge that sounds great.

Bending two strings at once is no problem even at the 1st fret

  • @RobinStrower Sounds really interesting! Should get my hands on one of those scalloped necks! :P

Also wondering how fanned frets play. A guitarbuilder in Belgium makes them, maybe I'll have to contact him and try one of those too. ^^

  • @MCguit88

    True, true

  • i like ritchie blackmore fender but. i wonder if it can make david gilmour sound?

    greatings from turkey

  • @yurdakok

I would say yes. In the middle position both pickups are activated and rolled back you can get some Gilmore sounds. Perhaps it helps beeing Gilmore.

    Robin :o)

  • @RobinStrower i think it doesn't have a middle pickup

  • @371944a

Yeah, it hasn´t but using the switch middle position both pickups are activated (hum canceling).

    Robin :o)

  • @371944a

The middle pickup is a dummy (no coil and magnet).

  • These are fantastic guitars, IMO the best thing Fender has on the market. I bought mine for the 70s head stock, 7 1/2" radius scalloped board and quarter pounders... I put a grey pearl guard on it and added another quarter pounder in the middle position. Stuck in a 5way and wired it so that the #2 position is humbucking and the #4 is out of phase... awesome, awesome rock and roll machine... it's fighting for the #1 slot with my '91 PRS Cu24

  • sweet guitar bro, how's it been serving ya? :P

  • @SlackBabbathTs

Thx, amazing guitar, I love it.

    Robin :o)

  • Woooow!!

    AWESOME!!

  • @TOTO1966BPC

    You´re welcome, my friend

    Robin :o)

  • Very nice guitar.

But why did Fender put Duncans in it?

Blackmore never had Duncans, he has Lace Gold pups nowaday's.

  • @TheKingOfMetalz

    Thank you.

You´re right, Blackmore never did. The Duncans are very close to the Schecter pickups Ritchie used in the earlier years.

Very good point, I will put a review of the pickups in my guitar review as well.

    All the best,

    Robin :o)

  • @RobinStrower Yes, Schecter F500T.

That's what Dawk said (Ritchie's former tech).

With his help i am building a clone of Blackmore's main strat.

    Cheers,

    Joey

  • @TheKingOfMetalz

    Hey Joey,

    keep me updated, thank you.

    Cheers,

    Robin :o)

  • Does it stay in tune when you use the bar?

  • @Kaaru

Up to a point, when it arrived trem setup was flush to the body, I made it floating and some other things and it keeps tuning pretty well.

    Robin :o)

  • lovely!

  • @MrBIOSkunk

    Thanks a lot

    Robin :o)
