  • There is NOTHING funnier than a group of liberal white people, upper middle class (or rich), gettin' together to celebrate diversity of thought, race and culture.

  • I'm seeking to cultivate a co-ed monastic order for these very people - across the entire denomination. Currently 43 years old, I have managed to stick with it the whole time.

  • LIES

  • Yes!! The freedom to believe! :D

  • Can someone please tell me why the hell there i san Egyptian ANKH next to this lilly livered liberal lefty?

Come out of this false cult my people. It only leads to damnation. Jesus is the only way to eternal life. In the bible, he said that anyone who doesn't come to salvation through him is a thief and a robber.

  • @ExploringProphecy People like you are why the UU church was created. ;-)

  • wow this is probably the most liberal religion/ denomination in whe world... literally.

  • "One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the Darkness bind them, in the Land of Mordor where shadows lie." There is only one way all human beings can logically be equal in all things and that is if we are all dead, which is why Unitarians support killing unborn babies and spreading AIDS.

  • oh waw the women in purple, with her symbol the ankh and star, how touching

  • There's no such thing as agnostic theology. Sorry. That's not theology; that's just sheer relativism. You also can't have theology if you don't make positive metaphysical assertions.

Dogma is great. For all their tolerance I find it sort of funny that those of us who are dogmatically conservative Christians aren't respected. Ah the irony.

  • Agnostism IS a theology. Their "positive metaphysical assertion" is that they do not pretend to comprehend the nature of divinity.

Dogma has caused too much harm in this world for me to see use of it. Fundemental/Conservative Christianity tends to not offer any sense of credence or respect to other beliefs and it is hard to offer respect in return to a person or group that does not value or at the very least recognize the equality of your belief system.

  • Considering that dogma means "teaching" in Greek, you're saying "teaching" is bad. That just sounds idiotic, frankly, and nothing more than the pathetic arguments made by ignorant students in religion classes who fail to understand the etymology of the word.

Agnosticism is not asserting that one does not comprehend the nature of divinity -- it's a neutral ontological statement. Asserting that one does not comprehend the nature of divinity is apophatic theology, not agnosticism.

  • Furthermore, agnosticism denotes a certain type of epistemology, as it accepts necessarily that we cannot know God can exist. Contrary to its Greek roots (i.e., coming from the word for knowledge in Greek), its modern use is radically different. There is a difference between lack of knowledge and asserting that one cannot know necessarily.

Finally, whatever Christian claims to know God is a liar. No one can know God fully. Frankly, that sort of insult is one of the gravest insults to God.

  • Fell in love with the UU church! Man! Some of the smartest people I know are unitarian! I ran into too many people in the christian churches treat others so bad! Rev. Felps is a prime example

  • Comment removed

  • UU are censors "comment pending approval" UU practices style racism man in skirt can go to UU BUT he will be said to be a transvestite SO why don't they call women in pants such? Double standard OK with UU. The Clinically Normative Ones of the Mental Health Movement Are Never Wrong as in NY Times May 27 1876p6 editorial A Curious Disease women in pants should be treated "with the usual remedies in use at the best conducted hospitals for the insane" UU is INFESTED with conformist RACKETEERS!!!

  • Here in DFW no UU minister will engage me in debate re falsities of entire mental "health" (social conformity = absence of bodily illness) movement. They have so many psych types in church, they'd lose part of income base if open debate were allowed. Calling a man in a skirt cross dressed is same as calling Black "nigger" it matters not to UU that both sexes are born naked & skirts/pants are arbitrary associations look at modern Greek soldiers go there call them names, go to Greek prison ha ha

  • JJ: Here you are again trolling as many UU videos as you can until you lose interest. Get lost. Your ugly brand of religious intolerance is unwelcome to freethinkers.

  • Unitarian Universalism is of the DEVIL!!! COME TO JESUS CHRIST - the ONLY way to go to heaven.

  • That's a very weak comment.

That the best argument you can come up with?

  • Yes, Jesus Christ is THE ONLY WAY <<<<< You know that sign on the left-hand corner of this woman who is an evil symbol. But, my Bible says: " at the name of Jesus, EVERY knee shall bow", and that includes yours, my friend. Repent and believe the Gospel: Hell is Real.

  • Oh I Agree. Y'shua is the way, the truth and the life

  • SmileLoveForgive, if you were born in Saudi Arabia isn't it likely you would be telling us that there is only one God and Muhammed is his Prophet? Or if you were born in Tibet wouldn't you would be telling us about the reverence you hold for both the Buddha and the Dalai Lama? Or if you were born in India, how the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita help you understand the role Vishnu has in your life? Think about how where you were born in the world has affected what you define as "the only way".

  • An evil symbol? I can't help but laugh. That shows a real lack of understanding of history, a history that is readily available in most middle school world history classes.

That symbol is the ankh and symbolizes an idea your religion holds quite dear. It was incredibly meaningful to those who's culture it belongs too almost 1,500 years or more before your brand of spirituality even arrived on this earth.

Respect and earn respect in return.

  • @TisiphoneSeraph Ah, so the ankh is a brand of spirituality 1500 years before whatever brand of spirituality Yoshua brought to the world..

  • Troy, there is active Unitarian Universalist advocacy for Native Americans. See particularly the works of the Rev. Clyde Grubb. The Plymouth, MA UU congregation always has a presence at the Thanksgiving Day protests led by the Wampanoag peoples.

  • Wow, a church for non-believers? The only faith you need is faith in the goodness other people? Sounds great to me.

  • isn't this Oprah religion

  • As I posted to another VID. I agree with the UUs completely so far as I have researched. But, when they speak, as other groups do, about social justice, inclusion, economic justice, civil rights they always speak about women and african americans. Which I totally agree. But, I have yet to hear "American Indians/Native Americans".

  • No, I got these confused with Univseral salvationist.

These people have no real bible beliefs.

  • I believe in UU. But this is a poor explaination. Sit down and let someone else speak.

1Co 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

  • Do UU's believe most all roads lead to heaven?

Do you believe what they teach?

Sounds like you read the Bible.

Do you believe the Bible to be God's authoritive Word, GenMata?

  • I'd still like to know more though

  • all religions start with good intentions though

  • thumbs up so far

  • The other vid said different lol

  • BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO Two thumbs up I am a UU and this video sums up everything I hold dear about the my faith!
