Many of the first photos are of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge --"Galloping Gertie." Which many people think is the subject of this song.
The photos toward the end are of the Second Narrows Bridge which now called the "Iron Workers Memorial Bridge."

The 1978 that was mentioned in the title is misleading. This recording was definitely circa 1960ish.
