I'm amazing how hardly anyone under the age of 25 or 30 has even heard of Thin Lizzy makes me want to beat my head against the wall. I just can't grasp that when there were one of the most influential rock bands in music history!
@VSAdriana That's because they've been brainwashed by the likes of Simon Cowell & whoever the hell produces this abysmal rap & r&b shite. Music died in about 1985. Thankfully I entered this world in 1965...in plenty of time to live, breathe & rejoice in the best band to have ever graced the Milky Way....THIN LIZZY!!!!!!
@GNRJaffa You do realise that Thin Lizzy was made up of many different nationalities, don't you? The line-up on Chinatown was 25% American & 25% English. And despite Phil being proud of his Irish roots, he was actually born in England to a Brazilian father. Thin Lizzy had no nationality, they were just rock Gods.
This is hands down 1 of the BEST hard rock albums ever, & its like it never happened!! I still rock this cd, the guitar gams all over this make it a must have 4 ALL lizzy & metal lovers! Ok im better now.
fuck brian downey really has that shuffle groove down, this is with scott gorham and snowy white, a great song with some powerful drumming and guitar playing, one of lizzy's best,
Dear Skinny Lizzy, RELEASE the Chinatown DOUBLE DISC ALBUM ALREADY!!!! Please, I want to ..."Go down to CHINATOWN"!!!!! SNOWY WHITE TERRANCE WHITE!!!!! RELEASE THE HOUNDS...........
Saw them live at the old Comisky Park in Chicago in the 70's. They brought down the park. Phil apologized for playing a short set because they had to fly back to Europe. RIP Phil and Gary.
This song is the first Thin Lizzy song to really blow my mind. I remember hearing this for the first time from a vinyl I had borrowed from my dad's friend...this title song is still one of the greatest hard rock/heavy metal songs of all time, a hard-hitting iron-clad kung fu punch in my face!!!
why Brian Downey is not rated as one of the greatest drummers of all times is a fricking mystery. Everywhere you just read Bonham, Moon, Micthell blah blah blah. This dude don't even get a mention. now that just ain't right. is it? A knighthood for serivces to drumming should be a minimum for this chap. Anyway arise Sir Brian!

@dazzyboy74 I'm with ya man, Brian Downey KILLS on drums. Lizzy on one of those bands some of us got back in the day and its took 20 plus years for the rest of the world to catch up and realize how great there were.
IT seems almost every old band i look at on here, the main guy is gone, died young, Rock and Roll must be a hard life.. all these great talented guys gone..
fantastic song by Thin lizzy ever preformed always liked this song the rock solo in it I think is proper kick ass and the song too is kick ass R.I.P Philip Lynott and R.I.P Gary Moor as well you did well godbless you both.
@tallica4lifegbrtdyDM I feel your pain. You see, you're frustrated because your love and appreciation for Thin Lizzy is genuine and of quality. Unlike millions of people(quantity), who watch or listen to things not out of genuine love but because, they get cought up with mass media advertisement or because it's the flavour of the day. That's the difference.
Here's another classic, great, and extremely influential band that has been grossly and sadly overlooked by the so-called Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Just another reason not to take the HOF seriously.
I took this record to music class in school and in the guess what i was the only one that liked it as I was the only one who like thin lizzy!. Any way BBC four did a documentary about them so I feel vindicated Ha Ha
I forgot about this song. A friend had the LP on cassette and we used to put it in the car stereo and rock out with it. Because the classic rock radio stations are so obsessed with playing the same 12 songs over and over everyday, we don't get to hear good songs like this one that have been collecting dust. All you people who upload this kind of good stuff....THANKS!
JODER! no me canso de oiros, SOIS LOS MEJORES. Es difícil encontrar grupos con más marcha que la vuestra. ONENAK ZARETE. PENTSATU DUZUE ZURE ITZULERAN.

I ask people, "Ever heard of Thin Lizzy?" And they say no. Then I start singing the boys are back in town and they're like oh, yeah. People should know more Thin Lizzy.
