@willkillyoulast .... the irony is that the show is second hand to Australians, Elijah Wood is the second guy to play this role, culturaly we don't seem to care about the deeper meaning and the motivational growth of the character that an actor is portraying we just expect them to be funny and we walk away if he's not. for all those who only know the american version, you should watch the original Australian version. It isn't so over acted and is a lot more funny. Adam ,as the poor schlub who always get shit on by Wilfred, is great at hiding his disdain for Wilfred. Ryan seems to just take everything with a grain of salt.
Frodo is hot with his deep blue eye's, I am definitely loving him in this. Wilfred on that stripper pole, OMGAWD, I almost peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed I was laughing so hard. This is something that's best watched in a marathon sort of way, so you can trip for hours at a time with snacks, friends, and drinks.
I think people need to stop acting as though Elijah Wood's career is solely based on the success of the LOTR trilogies. Obviously, playing Frodo is his biggest commercial success thus far, but he's been in so many other great movies, and he really is a talented actor. It's kind of insulting when people are like "Can Elijah's fans accept him as anything other than Frodo?" umm yeah, if they're really fans, they'll like his acting, not that one character he played 10 years ago...

@thatguy126 I don't think it's fair to say that he "created" the typecast by taking that role. I think people will always remember him for that role because he played it so well. But to me, he has already proved that he is a versatile actor, and I guess I just think he's a little underrated.

While the FX American version is great, the original Australian version is even better.
Adam ,as the poor schlub who always get shit on by Wilfred, is great at hiding his disdain for Wilfred. Ryan seems to just take everything with a grain of salt.

Frodo is hot with his deep blue eye's, I am definitely loving him in this. Wilfred on that stripper pole, OMGAWD, I almost peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed I was laughing so hard. This is something that's best watched in a marathon sort of way, so you can trip for hours at a time with snacks, friends, and drinks.

I think people need to stop acting as though Elijah Wood's career is solely based on the success of the LOTR trilogies. Obviously, playing Frodo is his biggest commercial success thus far, but he's been in so many other great movies, and he really is a talented actor. It's kind of insulting when people are like "Can Elijah's fans accept him as anything other than Frodo?" umm yeah, if they're really fans, they'll like his acting, not that one character he played 10 years ago...

@StardustBeatle1039 unfortunately he will never be able to get away from the "typecast" he created for himself......look at mark hamil (luke skywalker) he really never got away from that role until his voice acting

@thatguy126 I don't think it's fair to say that he "created" the typecast by taking that role. I think people will always remember him for that role because he played it so well. But to me, he has already proved that he is a versatile actor, and I guess I just think he's a little underrated.
