Actually with how safe they are they would be escorting the pick up driver to hospital talking about the merits of 5 star crash test ratings from just about every single government/safety board. I've seen these things flip going 80+ without a roll cage and people walk out.

They have pickups in Japan. However, in Japan, a pickup would simply not get pulled over by a car like that, they would most likely get a ticket in the mail. That car would just pull over street racers, or respond to incidents where police are needed quickly. Unlike the video games, police ramming things doesn't happen very often, so it ramming stuff isn't a big concern.

The thing on the hood is a clear spoiler. It's for downforce. I'm confused as to why it is there, since it would appear to block airflow to the intercooler, unless it has a front mount. As the camera gets to the side of the car, you can see the clear piece that runs the width of the car and is held up by the visible stands mounted on the hood.
