I'm happy of who I am, Lao-Khmer. I was born in Cambodia across the border from Aranyaprathet, Thailand......Aranyaprathet was founded by my people, "Nyaw" we called ourselves Lao Nyaw or Thai Nyaw if you're in Thailand. Google "Thai language" then you'll find Nyaw dialect. So check it out.

I was born in Nong Bu LamPhu, but I am Thai. Thai and Lao people are Tai ethnicity and we speak the same language or very similar. All of my family are proud to be Thai and we have Thai flag and King picture at our house in Udon.

Why does it matter to you so much that I consider my self Thai or Tai(Lao/Thai) Your Cambodian. it seems to me you have ill intentions towards my country. Did you know Pol Pot was one of the most ruthless killers of all time and why don't you ever bring up this subject.

@mortsey 1827, Rama lll sent his troops to destroy Viengchan the second time...King Anuvong was captured then brought to Bangkok where he was killed. The first time was in 1779 by King Taksin and his general was Chakri(later became Rama l), that was when the Emerald buddha was brought to Bangkok from Viengchan....

I remember history classes in the Thai school as a child (I lived in a village in Nakorn Phanom province) but there was no mention of Thailand (Siam) making war on Laos. I do remember very strong teaching against Burma and the wars between Siam and Burma, and how Burmess were mortal enemies of the thai, but strangely no mention of Viangchan. Thank you again for this.

Majority of Isan people are from a Lao stock from Lan Xang. Isan (Northeast) was not called Isan then.Just like Siam was not called Thailand until 1939.What dont you understand?There is a video on Youtube im sure you have seen made by the Nation with Thai scholar,senator explaing about Esan."The truth about Laos and Thai" Most ppl from Isan have been brainwashed to think they are siamese.

On the video "The truth about Lao and Thai" one the man from Kalsin even says Isan food is Lao food.

I wont agrue with you that they're Lao people from Isan who completely forgot where they cam from.But they're other Lao from Isan that haven't forgot where they came from.

The Lao, or Tai- Lao or Lao Tai, are members of the Tai-Kadai Austro-Asiatic language group. In Thailand these Lao I 'san are the same people linguistically and culturally as the Loation Lao only they live in different countries. Very True!!!!
