  • I actually like dylans voice...

  • Love

  • kinda looks like adam sandler in this

  • great solo <3

  • Fuck vevo, why the fuck don't they post the golden generation Dylan of the 60's. People should know how great he was in his prime.

  • he's taken me from the crib and i imagine he will to my grave!

  • dylan is the only one that makes a love song and makes me love it

  • amazing <3

  • WoW!!!! I been listening to this song for 20 years but i never knew this was his song!!! He is a great song writer but not the best singer, O'jays sound much better!!

  • awesome Dylan performance & then Mike Campbell shows up to do a solo, what could be better !!!

  • This song has to be one his best ballads period. It is a shame he like the drugs hurt his health.

  • Only 18 but Bob Dylan is one of my all-time favourite singers :) The album this is off, Empire Burlesque, is often hated by hardcore Dylan fans for its 80s production but I like it, at least it's better than his recent stuff, he now sounds like an ashtray :(

  • @Shiska14 If he would've stayed away from the cigerettes and the drugs his health would have not went so awful.God bless him.

  • @JustForBrieLarson Well, he had his motorcycle accident in 1966 and his histoplasmosis in 1997, but luckily he survived both of them :) He is certainly a much better singer than Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga or any of the modern crap these days

  • @Shiska14 i agree i think he is awesome i have loved him for many years

  • he may not be a good singer, but this song is magical!!

  • he is fucking magic brilliant

  • he is so fucking good

  • Thank you to my love for sharing this with me. It's beautiful.

  • reminds me of adam sandler in the wedding singer

  • love it

  • Must say that I am a huge Dylan fan but never lsitened to Empire Burlesque. I believed those who said it was one of Dylan's few 'godawful' albums. But I love t his song and now want to hear the album for myself.

  • I love all the moments we share.. I need them ;)

  • heartwarming eh?

  • every new artist today has some artist they look back on that influences them to jam on.. Bob gave great influence!

  • Dylan is one of the greatest writers and singers of love songs in the history of music. It makes you think he must have a lot of passion and care for women.

  • Nobody has the heart to tell Ol Dylan that his guitar aint workin

  • I would wish Bob Dylan sang this to me....sigh....with a hug...fan Annemarie

  • My friends hate Bob Dylan because he taught me that anyone can sing, no matter how awful their voice. Their ears bleed in his honor <3

  • this is tops.....thankyou

  • youtube bastard youtube pub pollution ban youtube

  • cool footage.

  • That's..... beautiful....

  • I LOVE!

  • Where's the sound from that guitar he's playing?

  • @cooliosius I think he has to hold his guitar kinda sideways b/c of a malady. It may be arthritis, post-polio syndrome, injured shoulder(s) or something else. Any guesses or links?

  • Ja du kommer alltid vara hennes känslomässiga slav även när du kryper ner i sängen hos andra kvinnor.

  • fuckk, i love this song

  • this song makes me wanna cuddle up close to Bob and sing HIM a lullabye! take care Bob.....and have loads of fun on tour....with love Annemarie in Holland

  • Bob used some of the E Street band on Empire Burlesque. The producer said it was one of the best sessions he ever worked on. Thank you Bob for MANY a thousand hours of great music.

  • I'm a teenager (hate the Beiber/Gaga crap) and I'm afraid when I grow old, I'll be the last Dylan-fan.

  • @mrrossjonathan

Don't worry, you won't be. All my children will here is Bob when they grow up. I will make them love him.

  • @mrrossjonathan Welcome.....

  • @mrrossjonathan I'm with you been listening to Bob Dylan since I was 14 (3 years ago) and heard about him in my history class. The teacher played one of his songs and I fell in love with his music.

  • @DevilManN111 thank you, we need more new bobheads

  • Thorny Crown

I allways said something smart at the end of the movie

something like let it be... or god save the queen

    My immaturity had no bounds

    it allways overqualified me

    For a thorny crown

  • OMG this video is terrible! Anyway I love him :)

  • fucking advertisement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It was Dylan's soul and song writing genius that got him to the level of fame and fortune he has achieved, whether you lke his voice or not. He is one of my favorites, and is a true artist despite the detractors, like the 7 soulless ones that clicked "dislike".

  • Beautiful song, what I love about his voice is that it may not be pretty but it's honest and he doesn't care about how it sounds. He trully is a genious

  • 6 people are retarded and vote for Donald Tusk and Tola

  • @sledziu3 ogarnij się człowieku ,co ty pierniczysz,co mają twoje upodobania polityczne do Boba Dylana i tej piosenki? Z czym do ludzi? Zastanów się zanim palniesz takie farmazony!!

  • @Fantazyjkaaa

    masz racje Tola

  • Hardcore Dylan fan back then and still today. Talk about longevity but uniqueness never dies. This is an overload song which is why it's mint but after the past few weeks and especially tonight being with a goddess of a woman inside out and upside down, it really hits home.

  • 70 Blessings to you.

  • What a powerful song, the most I knew of Bob Dylan was Knockin on Heavens Door.. This is beautiful <3

  • @shadiBaby1

Oh theres so much more you have to discover. I have actually on recently discovered a LOAD of his gems from the 80's. But have been listening to Bob religiously for the past 18 months.

  • @barrybuttery

Someone I know mentioned him a while ago and I came across this a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it.. not really a fan of modern music. I prefer the oldies :)

  • ..I could be dreaming but I keep believing you're the one I'm living for

    And I will always be emotionally yours....♥ ♥ ♥

    Volim te B. ♥ ♥ ♥ 29. 5. 2010 ♥ ♥ ♥

  • One of my farorite Dylan tunes off one of my favorite albums!

  • No one compares to Bob Dylan. No one ever will. He's a true orginal. A true genius.

    Happy 70th Blind Boy Grunt.

  • α ρε Μπομπ!!εισαι μεγαλος!!

  • What album is this song from?

  • @lamc93 from the album Empire Burlesque from 1985

  • @lamc93

    Empire Burlesque 1985

  • always emotionally yours he knows

  • The greatest singer / songwriter in history bar non. To all the younger generation out there just listen and learn to the words and music of the prophet Robert Alan Zimmerman aka Bob Dylan.

  • this is the best musician ever lived. the greatest guitarist, jimi hendrix was inspired by bob bylan, only after dylan, hendrix started to sing... as bob said singing is not shame and nobody should be ashamed for their voices, so my friend start singing now and dont pay attention at your voice :3 the most important is the thing that you what you like :3 long live mister Dylan <3

  • @AZARTI5 I do agree with pursuit and your encouraging to singing; although I may have to disagree with your statement on being indifferent to one's quality of voice. Perhaps what Dylan intended by not being ashamed of your voice was the character of the singer in relation to the song. Could you see Dave Van Ronk singing Jason Mraz, or visa versa? We should make the best of the tools we're given and not to squander or ignore refining our craft.

  • @AZARTI5 your comment is genius...thank you...

  • @AZARTI5 I totally agree.....however james lewis does not....

  • @AZARTI5 And he keeps inspiring! This song is inspiring me to hang myself! PURE GENIUS!

  • dylan sempre

  • Heartbreaker Mike Campbell on electric.

  • 15 june bob dylan video protest, place all you can, all favourite songs, give them some work. Spread the word.

  • Song is so wonderful on every level I can possibly think of.

The video is such crap, but it's so worth listening to without watching!

Thank You for posting so I can hear this beautiful piece of art!

I always loved Jerry Garcia's live versions of this song, too, btw.

  • Bob is a sad old junkie.....writes killer ballads though....peace to all

  • Dear Dylan how to teach you anything when hanging in a rope! Its like you have impregnated the whole world with your words and songs about who much you love me and this and that and bla... bla... bla... You can go to the other side of the world and you find Dylan there. Show me a place where you not are to be find and I will show you the world of mine. And don´t say it´s impossible. Everything is possible in your mixed up world...

  • Here that kids? Thats what a voice sounds like without auto tune

  • @chefboyd1 Every single voice recording before 1997 was without autotune. Almost in general all music before 1997 was better than what was to follow!

  • @chefboyd1 thats funny! and true ...LOL

  • @chefboyd1

Real musicians, playing real music, with real instruments... Witchcraft I tell ye!

  • @chefboyd1 or if you do a lot of cigarettes for decades....

  • @chefboyd1 *hear

and he is not the only one :)

love you for this comment :)

  • You should see Dylan live--in Concert--It's a Phenomenon!

  • bob nailed it.

  • That's my Aunt Monica in this video!

  • I wonder if this song was supposed to be for Elizabeth Taylor? Hence the photo of her in the beginning. I read that they apparently had a short relationship around the time this song came out. I'm kinda surprised if it's true.

  • @purplefrf It's funny because Bob Dylan wrote that he'd like to "make love to Elizabeth Taylor" in the song " I Shall Be Free" 20 years before.

  • Vevo is a damned thing,I can't listen to this piece of art, while a freak's face covers this video

  • 2:27 bella hermosa preciosa linda

  • I aways come back to this one,if ever asked my favorite Bob video, they removed a super hot version of thise with a super hot sexy sean almost soft porn from a french foreign film a while ago,I wish I could find a copy anybody rememember that one?

  • Great great song

  • I would never randomly run away from Bob Dylan.

  • @CalebEMusic girls man, go figure.

  • ?ohhh

  • wowee

  • If it were possible, Dylan's earring makes him even more cool.

  • crazy thing about Bob is the sheer number of songs he's written or corroborated on. I once listened to a DJ play all the Beatle songs from A-Z. It was a LOT of songs that took him an entire weekend to play, day and night. Surprising to me, 1/2 the stuff was marginal. Only Dylan has a deeper library of songs than the Beatles and almost all his music is, well, is the way he wants it and the way many of us would have no other way...

  • BOBS THE BOMB!!!!!

  • one of my favorite, 30th aniversary great copy, erin neble? Bob can sit down from over there, on my chair any time.

  • greatest american poet of the 20th and 21st centuries!

  • cool Vernie

  • Bob Dylans music will live on forever. hes incredible<3

  • townes van zandt is the greatest songwriter in the world and id stand up on bob dylans coffee table in my cowboy boots and tell him that"- steve earle

switch this off and turn on townes

  • @zcr2100 steve earle has admitted he didn't realy mean that quote. said he was just trying to build up an Van Zandt.

Van Zandt is a good songwriter, Dylan id the best ever. No comparison, and i have listed to alot of Van Zandt.

  • Amazing, emotionally so true...

One of THE greatest musicians, no doubt!

  • Unlike others, this song is not his regular song, but to me its great to listen to him combined with intense background music. So, to those of you who don't like it - I feel sad for you!!

  • my favorite song <3

  • Yes I have listened to his music and been a fan from march of 1962

  • Un poeta con todas las letras . . .

  • Sometimes people i think i'm alone.I think that i'm the only one that believes and understands this music. But then i find all of you that are in the same musical vibration as me.Thank you, we have to keep our way straight and clean

  • @h3ndrix123 i feel the same way! until i get on youtube and read some of the comments. i wish more people would realize how great music can be! and youre welcome.

  • This is one of his technical songs; stupid song; and I feel the right to say so, because I like most of his songs; and he has also been a great inspiration to my own composing through the years....

This song is words, words, words...compare it to I want you, and you see what I mean

    ed

    w w w eddy nu

  • What is with the woman in this video anyway? Like she gets all mental when Dylan says something to her and she runs off like a spooked mare... then she's spinning around in circles like she's trying to choke herself or plug her ears or something. Were the 80's as screwed up as I remember them? Someone please help me with this...

  • @vulfkhan Yea what the fuck this don't even sound dylan

  • Awesome. The man is a living legend. Been listening to him since 1963.

  • Dylan is the real deal.

  • Bob Dylan is one of most intelligent poet who has changed the 20th century music ´s face indeed . His music has been like mirror which shows our world´s reality .

I even thank him every time whenever or wherever I listen to his music which changed my life too .

  • @rebelPS3 He has changed my life also! I have listened to his music since I was a teenager...now a baby boomer. Saw him live two weeks ago....what a legend...what a performer!!!

  • @CCrRyder: well spoken truth, my friend, well spoken!! Bob is the ultimate dream writer!!

  • Beautiful love song. Dylan never seizes to amaze me!

  • @blueberry41747 it's "ceases" not "siezes."

  • reminds me of my beautiful girlfriend :) bob dylans the man

  • Beautiful, beautiful love song!

  • To you my Freespirit, I'll always be emotionally yours baby!! The hippie gods laid out our path many moons ago and together we'll rock the hippie highways of Love and Peace forever in this Universe and all those that follow ~ Love you baby forever<3<3

    Amazing song, Amazing Dylan;-)

  • rips out my heart,fabulous

  • very nice and moving... thank you for the video. god bless you.

  • i will always be emotionally yours

  • Thanks so much for putting this together. After a very long hard week it was very nice to relax and listen to Bob Dylan. Peace be with you.

  • unfortunately he neglected to give songwriting credits on some more recent material.

  • awesome song by an awesome artist!

  • I just saw Bob last night in concert. I've never felt that way about music before, not even my own.

  • Our wedding song. 9/11/99, Longboat Key, Florida. I love you, Kat. "I will always be..."

  • I genuinely feel sorry for people who aren’t capable of opening their mind to Bob Dylan. You only live once. I’m only 28 years old but I have been a fan for 15 years. I was only 13 when I first heard his greatest hits album and I knew right away it was something special. I had never cared for music before then but I bought a guitar a couple weeks later and began writing and playing. I owe this man so much, I often think about what my life would be like if I didn’t play that album that day.

  • @heisman9 In partial defense of those who you say don't open themselves up to Dylan, well, I am one of them but I base it on whether I like him as a musician. If I want deep meaning, then I'll read poets or philosophers. It's nice he affected you in the way it did but musically he's another story.

My father played harmonica and when he heard Dylan, he cringed and said he hoped never to hear him again.

As I said, taking him from a musical view, I've heard better over the years.

  • Even though I like The O'Jays' rendition of this song, I cry everytime I hear him sing this song...he rends my heart. You're awesome Bob Dylan :*)

  • Who's the woman in the video? Awesome song from the best song writer, who ever existed.

  • I took that class too. It was an adventure. When we did final presentations, I did mine on him and Baez. It was the most fun college class I have ever had. Also opened up others to the best song writer who ever existed.

  • I took the History of Rock too. It was the best ever.
