Also, if memory serves me correctly, when Paul got back on the stage they restarted the song

I believe there was a concert in Japan during the reunion tour where Gene lost his voice and Paul sang all of his songs. I would love to hear some of those.

I was at this show in Anaheim in 99. I remember Paul got about 20 feet out and got stuck. Gene had to sing the song until they could manually hoist Paul back to the stage. This is the same show Paul had to sing part of God of Thunder because Gene got stuck 10 feet off the ground during the solo. They had to pull him down with a ladder. I'll never forget the sight of Gene kicking his legs helplessly. Ahhh, Memories!

If this were an isolated incident, no biggie, but infact I've seen em forget lyrics to his own staples such as let me go , r&r all nite, etc. The fact is, if kiss forget their own tunes, they aren't all that. i am a musician, by the way, though amateur. I do masonry for a living, though, & although I ain't famous, a millionaire , have groupies or an army or tv show, if I forget my skill, I get CANNED

MUSICALLY speaking, (since you respect the fuck out of him), kiss has pretty much always Kept It Simple Stupid! if it were not for Aucoin, they never would have made it beyond the new york scene of their time. this is coming from a lifelong fan, I just get insulted when this guy fudges his own tunes, yet disses ACE who knows the entire catalog, and plays these obscure songs that gene forgot kiss even (allegedly) wrote. I like vintage kiss cause they were hungry. now, only money hungry

The wire that Paul rides to a platform in the audience malfunctioned leaving him hanging over the audienc. Gene stepped up to cover. The stage crew was able to get Paul back to the stage and I believe the played the song again with Pual on vocals.

Well,dont blame gene for singing the songs guys,Hes used to Paul singing Paul sings the most and Genes just a bass player that does the stunts,he just forgot the lyrics is all,i know i would im forgetful,i remember seeing a radio interview on here and it was hilarious,peter said that ace was doing a funny dance when he got shocked and ace said i almost died thank you very much and at the end lol,paul said they have to remember what they played first.

I was at the show. It was so sucky how the wire thing screwed up, but funny at the same time. Don't remember Gene butchering the lyrics that bad. I think he should naturally know them better. Don't really see how he doesn't.

This happened when Paul was travelling the zipwire between the stage and the little podium thing in the crowd. The ring he was holding on to got stuck halfway across the wire so he couldnt get to a microphone lol

Thats funny. I think I read somewhere on the scripts in Kissology One. Gene never could remember the lyrics for Paul's songs. I've played drums in a Kiss Tribute band 4 years now and I still would not able to sing every Paul or Gene song just perfect either if I had to do it.

I was at this show in Anaheim in 99. I remember Paul got about 20 feet out and got stuck. Gene had to sing the song until they could manually hoist Paul back to the stage. This is the same show Paul had to sing part of God of Thunder because Gene got stuck 10 feet off the ground during the solo. They had to pull him down with a ladder. I'll never forget the sight of Gene kicking his legs helplessly. Ahhh, Memories!

I think what most ppl forget .. When they are on stage .. the lights are in their eyes .. and I am sure he didn't even know what was going on ... and when he did .. his concern was that Paul was ok. Paul STanley is like a Brother to Gene .. and i really think his mind was on Pauls Saftey .. Not on the Lyrics.
