  • @extremotheclown I just checked him out _ fellow Billboard Artist

  • heh, you used a ladder with plywood planks for a scaffold. pretty ok paint. i painted for 3m national, whiteco, and lamar. i miss my 100k a year that i made in the 80s an 90s. dont miss the cold ass days on a 90' monopole.

  • i painted billboards for 3m national, whiteco, and lamar for 18 years. it was a good gig while it lasted.. wish i had a video of me painting. last one i painted was 04 i think. i was for a local guy. the first prints i saw where for marlboro cigs, 3m said it cost 15 bucks a sqf. now they are around 70 cents a sqft.

  • Very true! When I was a young art student many years ago, my friends and I would stand and watch billboard artists at work. Very impressive.

    Now, everything is printed.

  • Yes that true and sad, Because i think they are harder to do then a normal painting and there awsome!

  • Thanks for posting this. Billboard painting became a lost art practically overnight. Sad really.
