I'm getting ready to get some new headlights with some hids (8000k) I believe the 8000k shows the blue color really good and has that import sporty look. If I'm wrong would someone please correct me? My question is do I have to buy the hid kit or can I just buy the hid lights?

if you want to upgrade to an HID it is advised that you get the whole kit. If you don't and just install the bulbs then you will eventually blow your whole electrical circuits in your car

also halogens run at 55 watts where as HIDs run at 35 watts

when you get hids the daytime runners stop working, i would advise anyone getting them to get professional help installing them. when you got yours, did you have to angle them back up?

it depends how your installer installs them..i went to two installers,first guy didnt connect a relay meaning if you turn on the car with the light switch off,the lights will flicker..second guy i went to put a relay so you can turn your car on without having to put the switch on first but then,no daytime running lights when hand brake is down,but at least it saves your lights and battery;)

Did you have to by pass the day lights !! are these your nights lights or are they on anytime ? because night and day lights are on the same bulb

6000k is much brighter then the 8k...

because i recently got set of hids but

they keep flickering when i put the e brake down

and go normal when i turn the night lights on

It is possible to do angel eyes on them, ive seen them done. It is also fairly cheap to buy the parts to do so, roughly 50 bucks. However, it's a pain in the ass to install. You have to take the front bumper off and you have to take apart the headlight housing. Once you install them you have to reseal them, keeping in mind you have to reseal them well otherwise they will leak and cause you problems.

I thought about doing it, but considering i have HID's w/o projectors the HIDs light up the whole housing anyways making it hard to even see the angel eyes. And even if you thought about getting the whole housing with projectors from the ralliart or the evo, they dont fit on the regular lancer unfortunately.

for some reason tho i lost my function on my high beam.. did u have the same problem?
