I found a strongold, kinda weird how I find it though. I was walking through my world when I spotted two glass tower going high up into the sky. I did not build them so I went over an noticed that there the glass tower was going down too. I dug all the way down and it led to a massive stronghold. Had a library in it just like this one. Maybe the glass towers are being used to show the locations of strongholds?

Yeah I have to admit, I probably prefer the pre-1.8 world maker. Now there is just too many caves, ravines and mineshafts. Once you find a big ravine, it is just scattered with iron and gold and redstone. Now when you spawn, you spawn in a massive biome that takes ages to get out of.. I prefer the old one.

Now if you found one perfectly intact, THAT would be rare.

How do you find the strongholds? Also it seems like there should be something to keep strongholds form being ruined by caves, ravines, or mine shafts in the code.

and they will guide you to the newest stronhold

The 1.8 World Editor still sucks ;/ It would be better if there wa no Stronghold, Caves etc. in one place ;/ its a mess -.-

@RejectedShotgun They need to make them a bit more spread out, or give you the option to turn off specific ones, like if you don't want the villiages or mines but you do want the strongholds.

@ikul1449 well exploring is what makes this game fun. i enjoy going through and trying to find what little diamond there is through all the mine shafts and ect.
