  • .....you have an electrical eraser? ..wth...

  • you're so good!

I hope I can master my drawings like that soon... and I can't wait to start my architecture career this semester. Thank you so much for sharing your experience...you inspire me a lot :]

  • .....I miss my Architectural Graphics class ='[

    tnx

  • LOVE IT!!! :D

  • dude... i'm studying all your videos to supplement my art skills for a comics project i'm doing. thanks!

  • why do you put your hands over another paper?

  • @PsykickOFtime i'm guessing it's so his hand doesn't have lead marks all over it

  • whats that sharpener? it looks effective.

  • Hi, are there any little practice things I can draw to improve myself or like basic tasks?

  • where can i find a sharpener for 2mm mechanical pencil like you used in the first part of the video, i haven;t seen none like that

  • @tzbmx what are you asking again?? i think i read that wrong....

  • 0:55 isnt a ruler. a scale isnt supposed to act as a ruler :)

  • wow

  • wut?

  • ( link) youtube.com/watch?v=VVjSmK_AfJs

  • 1st Year Architecture at my university- Render, render, render, consistent line weight- let's see what goes down second semester when STUDIO, not DRAWING STUDIO, begins

  • i want that painting !!!

  • electric eraser?

  • You call that amazing? I can draw with real elemental lead.

  • Lead? Dont you mean graphite?

  • wow

  • wish to have yr hand..

  • i use the same lead >.< they work very well.

  • That’s a great tutorial. Nice instructions and details. This would make a great screen print for tee shirts. Very cool stuff, thanks for posting.

  • its actually graphite

  • good but good artists dont need rulers

  • @DylanSmith1997 but he's an architect not an artist. Yes he may be able to draw as well as an artist... but the drawings of an architect need to be 100% precise... hence the use of a ruler.

  • @DylanSmith1997 you are dumb, and probably not a very good artist yourself.

  • @parade

actually, he's right and you're the "dumb" one. Good artistist really shouldn't use rulers...it just so happens that the guy that made the video isn't an aritst....He's an architect. If he was an artist, he'd be a pretty bad one. Also, I don't recall him saying that the drawing was bad, infact he said it was good and then stated a fact. So please, stop making an ass of yourself.

  • @kiba40 You're retarded. "the guy who made the video isn't an artist" followed by "he's an architect". Which is an art form.

    You're not dumb. You're retarded.

    SEE WHAT I DID THERE?

  • @parade

again, there's a difference. "Oh and also" you're pretty fuckin' stupid bro. Grow up :P

  • @kiba40 Oh also, saying "Good artists shouldn't use rulers" is fucking ignorant bullshit tell that to ANY graphic designer, photographer, comicbook artist, or illustrator that makes money from their work, and they all disagree.

  • @parade

There's a difference between making measurements and drawing. Learn it.

  • @kiba40 haha, that's the pot calling the kettle black. What are you, like a 12 year old anime fan pretending to know anything about art?

"Draw: To make a mark, or lines on a surface. To 'draw a line'." Where does that say anything about rulers and measuring?

It's that simple, you're wrong and borderline retarded for clinging desperately to being wrong. Also sentences like "You're petty fucking stupid bro. Grow up EMOTICON" are hilarious and self defeating.

  • @parade

First of all if you think Im 12 then why are you trying to pick a fight? THAT my friend is self defearing but no...I'm actually, a 17 year old artist hoping to get into the school of visual arts in manhattan. Also theres nothing "to know about art" art is whatever comes out of your imagination....but again there's a difference. I really don't feel like arguing with you anymore though. So sure you're right whatever. Im retarded.

  • @kiba40 I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT, but trust me- rulers may have no place in figure drawing, or sketching, but when it comes to drawing a straight line, nothing works better. Sometimes precision is part of what you're trying to draw/ design, why not use a ruler?

And yes, there are things to know about art. If there wasn't, no one could ever improve.

I just think it's awfully ignorant of you to claim that 'real artists don't use rulers'.

  • that....was....AWESOME!!

  • Do architects use graphite pencils? If yes, in what situations?

  • How did you draw that first wheel?

  • @ThePotatoeShow1 compass

  • Thank you for teaching me something new. Blessings from a user in Israel

  • graphite

  • @TheTipmann of course, but they are referred to as 'leads' for mechanical pencils which I use to 'draw' the picture first.

  • Thats so stale. I hate strait lines and measurements and geometry.

  • what graphics programs do you use?

  • هذا هو شريط فيديو رائع جدا

    سلام من روسي

  • i envy this guy :o

  • hahahah i had those same pencils in drafting class last year got them from staples i believe

  • i always do this during classes..

when im boring with my other subjs. such as history, english etc. haha. lol.

  • very nice

  • awesome.

  • hey can u hlp me out i just got a technichal pencil the staedtler 925 05 it has the iso lead hardness degree indicator n i have no idea how to use the thing can u hlp me

  • great!!

  • cool

  • hi, My name is Anderson. I don't study architecture but I would. Are you an architect?

    =(
