  • i like jj for his bj's

  • @caessarion ....word?

  • A Time magazine art critic once said Andy Warhol is one of the dumbest people he's ever met in his life

  • Comment removed

  • @iDraw3G He was smarter than he looked; I'm sure a lot of his cool, laconic demeanor comes from all the Valium he was popping.

  • Yoink!

  • Andy's always touching his face.

  • Love it!! Andy's is/was great!!

  • super inteligente hombre con una manera de pensar maravillosa .

  • I love the way his brain works >_<

  • Sarebbe bello che ai video venisse messa la traduzione a seconda della lingua di appartenenza...

Come mai non è stata ancora inserita questa funzione...

    Sarebbe un bel passo avanti...

  • @Blavat666 You are the dumbfuck that missed the point of the entire pop art movement. Warhol would be the first to tell you that it's all bullshit. He was pushing the boundaries of what was art, much like Duchampe did with Dadaism. He manufactured his image. You manufacture turds posing as cogent thoughts from your fingers. As for gullible Americans? Look who paid 71 million for his Green Car Crash, shitweasel.

  • @knuckleheadjones So the entire American population paid for his car? That doesn't seem very logical.

  • I always laugh when people talk shit about Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, or The Beatles, etc. News flash: they forever changed their fields, influenced culture, and taught us how to look at the world in a new way. What have you done lately?

  • 12 people don't like Jasper Johns' lunches.

  • hahahahahahahahaha

  • what a fag

  • Up close he looks like some bizarre, Japanese, anamatronic robot with rubber skin.

  • IQ doesn't matter

  • great.

    ANDREA SANA.com

  • @zonkend 'well... he makes such great lunches...'

  • I wish he were alive today to get his take on Lady GaGa

  • @satuesday I'm sure whatever his take on Madonna was would pretty much be more of the same for Lady Gaga.

  • @satuesday He'd draw a painting of himself dying of laughter

  • @satuesday He loved and admired Madonna (so did many artists, both underground and popular in the late 70s and 80s) in fact they were very close friends. I'm not really sure if he'd actually like gaga to be honest..

  • My partner is writing a novel, and was featured in some prestigious pubs recently, he's really taking off. He has been existing in a kind of place where he notices just the incidentals, the decor in the publishers office, how it jibes with the corporate bullshit they spew at him, and that he must take an interest in, etc. It's what happens to someone who can truly compose in one's own unique voice, they get this otherworldy confidence. To them, it's just communicating.

  • A great artist doesn't need to talk about art; I consider myself an artist (I paint, sculpt, write, etc.) and one thing I hate to talk about is my art, unless if it's about something I really like.

Personally I think it's pretentious how so many artists blah blah blah with words that amuse only themselves.

  • @soniccage Come on, asking why he likes Jasper Johns is not idiotic. You gotta give a reason behind that. Why you like something has a reason behind it, why you don't like something has a reason behind it... that matters.

  • i wonder what he made usually

  • People with no humor just don't understand Warhol.

  • @solomonmonterrey I know, the guy's a joke

  • 11 people don't like Jasper Johns' lunches.

  • This is great

  • Great!

  • @klElV Lmao, way to completely overreact to an obviously flippant coment, crybaby

  • Hahahahah!

    Brilliant answer.

  • He makes great lunches

    HA HA HA HA =)

  • haha * * * * *

  • @singercity40 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhhahahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahah hah ah ah ahahahah ah ah hahah haha hah ah hah a hah ah ah haah a h ha hah ah ha ha ha a ah ah ha ha ha hah ah ha hah ah a a ha ah ah ah ah ah h ahaahah aa ah ahahahah ah ah ha aha h hah ha haahah hah ahah ha h a ahah ha ah haa haahaha ha ha ha ah ha

  • He has a skin like he had burned hisself.

  • comedian

  • "Hot lunches mmMMMmmm." That was the part they cut.

  • Another example of the subtle and effortless media manipulation by Andy.

  • Jasper did make great lunches.

  • A con-man extraordinaire......

  • @spd13062 Andy wasn't a con-man, he was a great pretender, theres a difference.

  • awesome

  • @glossy104 He just answered the question. "What do you think of Jasper Johns?" So, he told her what he liked about his friend. Isn't that what you'd do?

  • Hi and Michael Jordan were good friends in the 1980's.

  • The greatest American artist of all time.

  • he killed edie.

  • @handsomevision she did it to herself. Abused as a child, like so many others:(

  • @LJD25 If he's the greatest American artist, that doesn't say much for American art.

  • @MrEarwicker Maybe you shoul inform yourself about him before you are talking such a shit;)

  • CAN I FAVORIGHT YIS MORR>???

  • andy looks good here..

  • enfant terrible

  • you can see him thinking about it, just for a second.. a killer line to counter the ungaurded sincerity of liking JJ for the philistine press. He knew his game and he was the first to know the media...and christ he was quick.

  • this after Johns and Rauschenberg rejected him because he was too "swish" and started out in commercial art (even though Johns and Rauschenberg were lovers and both had commercial arts backgrounds.)

    go Andy. :)

  • but he is a funny fuck

  • obviously you do,,, teamcrumb ,, Nothing but New York City Trash,,,

  • Warhol was a great thief of artworld. The idea of Factory was stolen from Fluxus, also strange movies, strange actions and idea to incorporate the music into art shows. The idea to paint famous people was from Rauchenberg. The idea to paint symbols and things was from Johns. The idea to create strong personal myth was from Yves Klein. Several ideas he napped from Richard Hamilton. Etc etc.

  • absolutely everyone is a thief, you steal everything you do from someone else

  • lol

  • I hope Johns' lunches were better than his childish paintings

  • Does everyone notice that his superstar Ingrid did the same pose w/ her hand on her face in her screen test. Wow can you say copying the great Warhol.

  • what a souless terd that andy was

  • sssssh, troy, just ssssssh, no one cares about your thoughts, so ssssshhhhhhh while the goings good

  • he was such an eccentric person...

  • Warhol was actually very pragmatic guy and acted a lot.

  • "he served great lunches" - ha ha ha!

and we always washed them down with bronze cans of Ballantine Ale

  • ballantine ale' my drink

  • brilliant lol

  • @killahoe62 you are: NOTHING

  • @killahoe62 Oh, thank you! Fag to you too Mr.

  • One of the all time great mediocrities.

  • There was nothing confusing about this. He wanted to avoid arguing or giving an opinion so he pretended he didn't understand the question with typical Warhol wit.

  • He's the most relevant artist since Andy Warhol. Noone's been particularly relevant since him and noone will be until civilisation changes so fundamentally that art has to be completely reinvented. He put the nail in the coffin, and you can't get it out.

  • Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg stayed away from Andy because he was an out homosexual and they were still in the closet. Two very different generations of gay. Warhol looked up to them as some of his biggest influences.

  • who s jasper johns sounds like a restaurant chain.lol andy is very interesting some of his interviews are confusing.

  • lol are u serious, i would say he is the most relevant contemporary artist right now

  • he's not contemporary.

  • lol so you gave it a new name because all the books classify him as a contemporary artist.

  • jasper johns completed the majority of his work (and the only ones you actually see in books) around 1950-1970. That's post-modern. Not contemporary.

  • well i make a living selling his CONTEMPORARY work

  • Comment removed

  • he said some ridiculous shit. lol he makes great lunches lol

  • look at his eyes!!

they get brown, blue, brown again, purple, kinda gray and purple one more timeee! :O

    i want one of those ; )

  • Ahhh, shit!! Scary!

That's it, Andy finally got his wish and turned himself into a machine. Look at his skin, that 'ant natural. That dude's a fucking robot.

  • He wanted to be plastic

  • i love how he gets the right people to fall for his ploys. he was a genius, and almost effortlessly fucked with the masses. a con man, if you will. can you think of a better form of art? to completely manipulate your audience? the soup cans? what do you think it meant? the people who adored it didn't even know what it meant, but of course thought they did. he owned people! THAT is an ART FORM, my friends! sit back, relax, and watch the reaction you've caused.

  • Eh, he had more depth than that

and he was a brilliant illustrator

He was not just a conman, anyone who thinks so doesn't know his work

  • In Germany we have a Phrase "Der Prophet ist im eigenen Land nichts wert" wich means roughly translated: The Prophet is worth nothing in his own country. I think this fits perfectly on Warhol. Why are there so many US-People still hating Mr Warhol's Art? I mean just read a Book about him if you don't understand his Art and you'll see how revolutionary he was. He influenced so many People.

  • he makes great lunches.

  • how much do you guys even know about Warhol?

  • no he's just retarded; his iq was like 80.

  • its truee,

  • oh yeah i forgot a person's IQ means everything in life

  • A whole generation being highly influenced by his work (without knowing it) would be called an idol .... of some sort

Not to mention his great influence on screenprint etc

  • He had amazing eyes ...and looks kinda handsome here ...always thought he was ugly.

  • like you ?

  • he was an artist :/

  • Hee, hee, hee :-D

  • Yes, great lunches

  • qué dice???

  • That was um.....really....um.......great.

  • AWW, TOO SHORT! D:

  • He talk like Paris Hilton....lol

  • No, Paris Hilton talks like Andy (:

  • heehee

  • Well he was around before Paris Hilton(:

  • they are both the same person

  • @AllTimeLowHOES hahaha! agreed.

  • Go watch a dull Miley vid, "Princess" ?

  • this is such a great clip

  • Why?

  • He's just the best creation of God, just look his perfect face, perfect lips, mouth, teeths, nose, eyes, all, he's just a treassure

  • damn Jasper Johns outlived andy.

  • OMG I love Andy Warhol even more. I've fallen in love all over again!

  • his eyes are beautiful. RIP!

  • haha!)) awesome!

  • and do u have a screen name mikemikemike? I dont want to spam this video w/ comments

  • im upset that the first time i saw nything about andy warhol.. it was "factory girl." now im left with that impression of him as the villain and i have to dig up all this information to see how things really went on. other than that, the actors in all of the warhol films ive seen mimic him perfectly.

  • judging by his other interviews, looks like he could've gotten a higher score if he had the attention span... "uh no, uh yes" he's absent minded, not slow. i doubt he was slow.

  • what does absent minded mean, cause i think i have that

  • That's all? Mine was 165 when i was 10. LERN 2 REED BETTAR.

  • What?

  • "between 140 or more" ?

If you did have an IQ ABOVE 140, you'd have phrased it better than that.

  • ya my IQ is 151

  • I DON'T FUCKING CARE ABOUT YOUR "IQ" YOU FREAKING MYTHOMANIAC.

"Between 140 or more" is an invalid statement.

LMFAO, I can't stop laughing when i red what you posted below. "I know, I'm a smart kid", FWAHAHAHAHA. Completely useless comments, if you're going to reply, please don't make a fool of yourself again.

  • hmmm ya know what u just said made COMPLETE SENSE! NOT! Jerk... and i wouldn't be talking i bet ur IQ is like, 100 and Mythomaniac isn't a real word, dumbface

  • You made a fool of yourself. Again.

  • Not my intention to get you scared.

  • dude, youre failing miserably lol

  • I'm going to start using "mythomaniac." I think it's a great word. It looks like a real word. It is comprised of letters and has syllables. The root words have meaning and put together create a new word. I like it. Who's to say what is or is not a "real" word? Who was the first to utter any of those "real" words that you use in your sentences? Were they real at that point? When did they become "real?" Wow, I must sound like a real mythomaniac, huh?

  • I don't have an IQ...

  • I have a 133 IQ, yet I phrase my sentences similar to any other 17 year-old.

  • No, the thing about Andy Warhol is that he put himself across as a moron but really he was making fun of consumerism. He came up with he "15 minutes of fame" thing and his "Uh, Yes" "Uh, No" responses are pretty much a joke he played on interviewers. The worst answer you could give is a "yes/no" one because and interviewer can't work with it. Being a celebrity however allowed him to get away with whatever he wanted. The man was a genius despite his IQ.
