I'm not trying to be critical of HW. He was very popular, but he didn't preach Jesus. He preached liquor, women and music and if he really believed that song that explains his delusion. Cards are no substitute for God's Word.

This is John Ritter's daddy Tex. I never heard Hank Williams version, but I rembember this one. I am in my seventies now and used to listened to Tex Ritter a lot before he died. Now John is gone too. Three is no longer company, now it is two.

Don't know why the comment about video. All of these shots have been published before.This was originally done by T Texas Tyler about 44,45,46. I remember my mother sitting by the radio trying to get it all written down. He ended with "I know because I was that soldier". I don't know if this was ever released as a Luke the Drifter. I don't have it on either the 45 EP or 33LP. Sounds like this comes from one of his Mother's Best Flour shows. There are a ton of these that are getting digitized.
