  • A Museum of Witchcraft - what a great idea! :) Le beannachdan (With blessings), Ruiseart - Gaelic Druid Order (Scotland).

  • What program is this from? :)

  • @fenfen99 Exodus chapter 22 verse 18, Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 10 and there are many more,(about 20 verses) but I don't believe the witchcraft or witches mentioned there have anything to do with modern day witches. Some of these witches were Baal worshipers and practiced child sacrifice amongst other things. Not something you learn in Wicca :) I respect anyones choice to believe what they want.

  • The woman who owns the gift shop is a fool. It was only in the King James version onwards did the bible say anything about Witchcraft as KIng James himself was brought up to be terrified of anything to do with Witches, the Occult and "Dark Magic". He even wrote his own book on Demonology which was widely used in Witch trials.

Long live the Museum of Witchcraft I say!

  • @blindsunden You don't know much of the history of the Bible. You can actually go on line and see the Codex Sinaiticus (at sinaiticusdotcom) written between 325 and 360 AD which was written 1,250 years before the KJV and contains most of the same text.

I love Boscastle having first gone there in the 60's

I do agree the woman in the shop is wrong to want the museum to close though, we would have to shut all museums then that had anything remotely pagan in them.

  • went there last year and it was freaking awesome

  • The tragically hysterical point behind all this is that christians have embraced ancient tribal goatherding Semitic beliefs as absolute and irrefutable dogma, and ceaselessly tortured, maimed, castrated, denigrated and intolerably forced their ridiculous crap down the throats of all they encounter. No one particular sect of this loathesome cult can tolerate the other...sure sign that none of them truly follow the dictates of their beloved saviour.

  • How long has that woman been working in the gift shop I wonder? I don't know how long the witchcraft museum has been there, but I visited in 1968. Why should it go just because she's moved in?

Her remarks are the kind that begin religious prejudice.

  • It's because of people like that woman in the gift shop that people are deserting the church in droves. I've got nothing against Christianity... but she just sounds silly. Hasn't she got anything better to do with her time?

  • I'm chiristian but I belive people should be able to belive what they want I mean Muslims and Jews arnt criticised for there beliefs

  • His face also goes bright red lol

  • Bret is my music teacher lol he's one angry guy we wind him up coz it's soo funny to see him dance about screaming XD

  • she says because jesus Say's she should say the bible Say's of which jesus did not even write.

  • I believe that everyone should find their own god/goddess wherever they can and as long as they harm none what harm can there be in it. However I dont believe that any wars have been fought in the name of wicca, which cant be said of any of the more orthodox religions. The one thing that always amuses me is how many christians are happy to make a wish and blow out a candle on their birthday without realising it is a rudimentary spell.

  • i understand, appreciate the christian heart and tolerate it. i dont believe in it, but i believe in the people, and im convinced 50% are miguided or ignorant to what is outside their bubble. although i now many good christians, there is no excuse. pagan and proud

  • I am a pagan who practices witchcraft ocasionally and I am very glad to see christians undersdstand the religion even if they don't agree it's undeniable that the religion is good.

  • those christians should for ones shut up with their stupid remarks on stuff they know nothing about.

  • I visited Boscastle, The museum and the gift shop across the street today, and found the museum to be a fantastic wealth of heritage and Pagan history.

I also personally saw the reading material being sold at the gift shop for example one book title being " Wicca - Satans little white lie". I know this doesn't stand for all Christians, but I am embarrassed to see the peaceful and loving concepts of Christianity used as a cudgel in a petty and short sighted manner.

  • Witch craft is not evil god is just scene in many different ways to all of us and I think it is silly one someone thinks that they are the one true religion and think others are false

  • at 3:08 that women is just dumb with saying that stuff. I believe if you want to be Christan thats cool but have respect for other religions 2

  • What the hell?? "so called witches"!! Would they say "so called Hindus" or "so called Buddhists"?

  • the old fool need to shut the hell up if she dosent know what she is talking about

  • That woman in the giftshop, oi! I wish people would stop useing Jesus name for their ignorance. Jesus was a healer and believed in truth love and light. I could go on but dont realy wanne put my time in it. Love and Light everyone BB

  • Why is a Christian woman running a "gift shop" for a witchcraft museum? It's rather contradictory even if she dedicates her life to squashing out witchcraft (a futile effort as Witchcraft has existed in several forms across the globe since humanity was humanity) she'd be merely promoting witchcraft as a forbidden fruit. It's something Christians don't seem to understand by preaching against it so passionately they are really keeping it alive.

  • @rorrimsalucard Doh! comprehension difficulty! it clearly states in the film that "opposite" the museum is a gift shop. The camera even pans across to show you where each building is. I know there IS such a thing as satanic/luciferian witchcraft because I was brought up in it. But I agree that modern Wicca has little or nothing to do with it. (I say little or nothing as there are some Wiccans that are Luciferians as well) But the majority of Wiccans don't believe there is a Satan or a Lucifer.

  • @nicerperson your comments read as if your telling me off, if so then I can genuinely say that you missed the point of my comment

  • Comment removed

  • i practice witchcraft and it hasen't got anything to do with the devil that woman in the gift shop really made me angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so THERE Christianity is totally against my beliefs. XP

  • The woman in the gift shop is priceless.

She is exactly what a brainwashed christ lover always preeches. Please read your history.

    The evidence is there....

Christians worship a book that has NO back up.

I have met priests that will even admit that the bible has no evidence that its easier for the people of GOD to cluch at straws.

Chinese whispers and the Bible go hand in hand..

    Blessing )o(.

  • I think the vicar's approach is far more christian than that of the souvenir shop owner, who claims to be anti-witchcraft but doesn't mind setting up shop directly opposite and profiting from the best known tourist attraction in Boscastle... a witchcraft museum!

  • went in this museum last week, what a load of shit. thats just my opinion... please no hate messages lol

  • The old christian lady really ticked me off. I'm an Agnostic and she seems extremely close minded: God or nothing. I liked the witchcraft guy way better.

I've talked to Pagans. They were pretty peaceful and non-conversionist..

  • 'Witchcraft is against my beliefs, God says this, God says that, yadda yadda'. And? Christianity is totally against my beliefs. King Ethelbert, the last Anglo-Saxon Heathen King, said to St. Augustine: "The words and promises you bring are fair enough, but because they are new to us and doubtful, I cannot consent to accept them and forsake those beliefs which I and the whole English race have held so long." In other words, stop telling us what to believe just so you can steal our land and money.

  • Jesus equated himself with "the way" that way is unconditional love "love your enemys turn your other cheek love the neighbor. Christian symbolism is based on paganism from the trinity to the cross and the rising/dying god.. "Osirus and horus>. most christians dont research there origins. to scary to learn the truth I suppose. jesus just sait the way is the truth. that way of love

  • if christiand just got it that they practice magick too it would be far more peaceful between religions

  • The christan lady pissed me off xD She is your typical old time christan. Even if something is for the good of the people they think its a sin. What if, not really, a witch did exist. Wouldnt this god have made him/her? So technically it was god's will to give them the "powers"

  • as in the christians tradtions.. forgot to put that

  • haha too bad they didnt know all there tradtions are stolen and nothing of there is orginal haha

  • christians are stuck, in the time of duel faith, thay followed the old ways and still do no matter what there silly book says.duelistic idiots books have no spirit

  • Perfect. I love how the Witch museum has A Christian/ aint-witch gift shop right across the walk. I'm not agreeing with any anti anything. Just proud of all of us. lol, its just perfect.

  • It is clear from the books on display in the gift shop that the woman has a real bee in her bonnet about The Craft of the Wise. I notice she doesnt have comparative books on Islam or Hinduism, this is clearly not a genuine concern for lost souls, just a one woman vendetta against our Faith. Take heart, at least the qualified Christian Minister has got a kind soul and isnt just a neighbour from h..l like the self styled bigot.

Keep up the good work Graham.

  • here-here, portlandbells99.

    Blessed be. )O(.

  • Indeed. How immature, selling anti-witchcraft books. Surely she could be done for some form of discrimination?? I mean she would sue if us lot were being so disrespectful to her...

  • typical bloody christian all they can do is quote from the bible none of them have any real understanding of anything spiritual

  • @lerxt42 then how do you learn anything spiritual without understanding the bible and what faith are you?Are you a priest, minister,or preacher? Or you just a normal guy living in a normal life that tries to convince himself that he is special in some way to escape from the reality that he is just normal. People understand God and their faith in different ways and christians understand God through the quotes of the bible. It makes sense to them and Im sorry it doesn't make sense to you.

  • @SAAAAAAAAAAAAH i am a guy who doesn't believe in invisible sky daddy's or anything from the jewish book of fairy tales...the chritian faith gained a foot hold in europe and espescially in England because it stole and absorbed many pagan traditions and turned pagan worship sites into places of worship for its own devices. As to what faith am I? I was baptized at a young age into the Greek orthodox religion which is about as asanine as all the other ones.

  • I've been to that museum with my family. A nice place indeed. Mind you the rest of Boascastle has a nice atmosphere about it. (Also helped the weather was great.)

  • The witchcraft museum is very nice to look so nice collection, with respect for the craft and the history, well done and thanks to show, a must see for everyone who likes history and/or witchcraft science. Was there about 11 years ago.

The other museum of the catolic things I don't remember.

  • she's a reverend, you can't blame her for seeing her religion in ours, i do the same thing with the bible, i see the Goddess and God in many aspects of it. i could have done without her husband's "Buffy" comment or the woman at the giftshop all together, they were a little rude, but it's their beliefs, and they're entitled to them. I think we are well on our way to mutual tolerance, if not full-blown peace and acceptance.

  • Nicely put dillonel!

  • I'm a christian that thinks that witchcraft is a perectcly acceptable religion, of course it's not evil spells are just praying really and to me worshiping nature and worshiping god are v similar.

  • I agree, thank god for people like you. ;D

  • yes, and thank the goddess as well. :)

    Blessed Be.

  • @22poopoo same here im a christian but i think people can make some things happen if you put out enough energy to it i dont think you need all the candles and tarot cards and shit like that though i think everybody is capable of it just some more than others

  • @thomas242007 Yeah I agree, it's all about channeling energies and intentions.

  • @22poopoo yeah i dont know if i would call it witchcraft or whatever but i think i definatly think its possible, especially when im extremly angry about somthing seems to be stronger, supposedly my grandmother when she got angry bad things would happen to people not sure if theres a connection there but i think there is

  • @thomas242007 I read a book called memories of water by Masuru emoto (think that's right) about how our words positive and negative effect water, and since we are 70% water us, look at his experiments on water formation crystal in ice, very interesting!

  • @22poopoo oh yeah i think i heard about that guy dosnt he have a couple vids on here? im thinking its the same guy not sure though

  • @thomas242007 Yep that's right he does.

  • @22poopoo Witchcraft isnt a religion.. its a practice used by alot of Wiccans and other pagans... and we worship a god and a goddess.. which could be different for different pagans.. and no we dont use "Evil spells".. we do worship the spirits of nature.. we care and love the earth.. unlike what the silly christian bigots say.. that christian store owner needs to eat her own words... she's basicly stating that her religion is the best in the town.. and no other religious beliefs should be

  • @ArcaneFaerie Depends I knew a witch that said it was a religion and some people think wicca is neopagan and different from taditional witchcraft

  • @22poopoo (cont.) acknowledged... which is a very ignorant thing indeed...

  • At least the Christian lady didn't slander the Pagan. She was very succinct in stating that witchcraft is simply against her religion.

  • No but she did say she didn't think such a museum in town. She also sells Anti-Witchcraft books.
