It's really easy especially now to get tempted into believing that this is the only life. Leviticus isn't an ENTIRE metaphorical text. It pays off to be good in English if you can understand what metaphors are. Revelation is a metaphorical text, to most extents. Just as when Jesus says "my sheep" you know thats a metaphor, but when at the last supper, you know that's not a metaphor.

Its very simple. If you think "To purify the house he is to take two birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop." is a metaphor, explain the metaphor.
