scene hair is just them term the kids use so they don't have to say mullet XD but really that's all it is. While the VK style is more like a shag/mullet thing. Both styles have been around for 30 years or more. Especially popular in the 80's.

The Rock part comes from Black musicians, who created rock, which started off as an alternative form of church music waaay back in the day. The church music from back then came from classic hymns, which were the brother songs to monk/priest chants. So I'd consider VK original because it made Glam Rock/Gothic culture/hard rock its own thing and put a spin on it. Scene kids don't have a "rich" culture.
