Fantasia killed Erin on the ad lib and in some parts she just murdered Erin. Erin was good but she was just too faded, incomplete, I couldn't feel no passion in this song from her. He soulful sound was mute. Where she shined Fantasia was lacking.. They are actually contrasting sounds.. Fantasia was vibrant in her take while Erin took the mellow road.. I choose Fantasia's version over this one.

Lol, I think I'm the only one who likes the Fantasia version more. Although they're both very beautiful I like the hint of raspy voicing that Fantasia adds to the song. I suppose it all comes down to personal preference but this version doesn't touch my heart like the other does.

I agree with everyone. I prefer this version over the one with Fantasia. Don't get me wrong, I love Fantasia, but her voice is very strong and this song is so beautiful and simple. Her voice doesn't really match the song. I tried to get used to it by putting Fantasia's version in my iPoD, but I skip it everytime. Lyfe is a genius. I can't wait until his new album comes out. I remember listening to this song on the CD and askin my lil brother if he had heard it and he said yeah then stated that Fantasia sang the females part, and I debated wit him that it was some chic named Erin...but then I heard Fantasia do it on da radio version, and I HATED IT at first...but I eventually got used to it, but I still like the original version more. Fantasia may have been doing a lil too much...but she's still a great singer.

Well one day I was either riding around running errands or coming from work. Hypothetically came on and I could not belive my ears! My daugher is a singer and she is very picky about her music too. I put it on and told her to listen. When your part came on Erin she was so quiet trying to take in all she could of the melody and your voice. We put it on repeat .Girl you made that song. Fantasia's voice was not suited for this type of song. I was so dissapointed when I saw Fantasia on the video.

At the time he was a new artist and I was one as well. Also, Lyfe made me an offer to be his artist, which I turned down. I was already dealing with all the same people he was, so why would I need to sign with him? When I turned the deal down, him and his camp got heated and didn't want to put my version out there like that. He got Fantasia, cause she was a name and a friend. But it was too late cause all the albums were printed up and I was on it! No one can stop a blessing!
