And btw the actual mitsu starion had the mitsu emblem, dodge/chrysler just had conquest letters on the one side of the front header panel not the mitsu emblem. Someone either put that on ur car or you have a real starion. You even have starion tail lights not the conquest ones, so looks to me u have a starion.
Spencer575 they didn t leave Mits badge on that s a Starion or a badly rebuilt conquest more than likely its the much cheaper and less powerfull Starion
Your kidding right? they are all mitsubishi's just chrylser plymouth and dodge bought some and called them conquests. There is 3 power levels for the 2.6 no matter starion or conquest, the power levels went depending on year. 145 hp early on, then 176 then 188. All with torque changes too. There is a 4th power output of around 200 hp for the foreign only starion available with a 2.0 tbelt engine instead of the g54b chain engine.
that was a mitsubishi starion, chrysler sold them in north america and called them conquests, same car though. i believe that these cars turned into the 3000gt's
It was a joint venture between Chrysler and Mitsubishi in 83'. Mitsu had the Starion ESI-R and Chrysler had the Conquest TSi. In 86 the flared body style was introduced. Early Conquests were Dodge and later changed to Chrysler. This one looks like he added logos. All in all, nicely done. The interior looks great. Way to keep it stock! I had three of these cars and loved them all.
I had an 89 Chrysler conquest, all white, no logos or lettering, every inch of it mint. just had a new exhaust and turbo installed, and some drunk bitch totaled it while I was waiting at a stop light >< I miss that car.
This thing looks so fuckin' 80's... In the best possible way! I love the stock rims! Love the boxy edges. Great wide body, great proportions, good looking car. It's an 80's mitsu, did the break all the time?
@keewatin427 Well its labeled as a mitsu but its really a chrystler. So ya its pwn. But i like the Dodge Omni and the Shelby Dodge Charger alot more. If you like this car, Check out the Shelby Charger or Shelby Dodge Charger :D
@875109725710 This was all Mitsu, only a fool would call it a domestic design. Your not saying that Chrysler designed it and put a Mitsubishi badge on it? Mitsubishi went on to design the 3000GT which was derived from this model, which Dodge badged it Stealth.
the starions grill pcs were black and conquests were the color of the car if they are untampered 89 starions are the rarest there were only 160 of them made these cars in my opioin are way better than the 3000gt that replased them
@andbudzi I read someplace that Porsche actually did aid in the design of this car. I'm guessing that's why it looks so much like a 944. I had the same car and absolutely loved it. I must say tho that aside from the looks I didn't notice any other similarities to a 944. Both cars perform exceptionally well but they have totally different road manners. For the record, even tho I own a 95 6spd vette today I would buy another turbo Conquest without hesitation. It's No vette but still a fun car.
@bronxboyXXX hmmm why would Porsche help Mitsubishi with a car?and yes they are fun i have 2 of them an 87 and an 88 both works in progress right now.but ima do some more looking into that just to see. but i dont think they did man.
@terrawatt522 It seemed kind of odd to me too but you cannot deny the similarities with the 944 turbo and the later model Starquests. Anyways, I found it on the web years ago. I can't quote the author exactly but I remember whoever it was saying something to the affect of "it was the only instance where Porsche assisted another car manufacture in the development of a vehicle."
Anyway, it's cool to talk to a Starquest enthusiast. they are truly magnificent cars with a lot of potential.
@roydied15 most everyone run's the f**k out of them. they are no more unreliable than the 2.3 turbo in the Ford. Each has it's weak spots. Mitsu cylinder heads and valve seals aren't the strongest and Fords turbos and rings aren't the best...so it's a trade off
I beg to differ, it is your porsche that had to buy mitsubishis motor mount patent you idiot not the othre way around....pleasa do your research before you open your mouth.....Last but not least the Star/Quest don't look nothing like that piece of shit 944.
It looks very similar to porsche 944...open your eyes.
stop it at 0.11 sec then go online find pick of white 944 with same angle - they look very alike, the only difference is that conquest has ground-effects and slightly sharper angles.
Rear- taillights and bumper look exactly the same as 81-86 Toyota supra
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
and by the way i own a 98' Z28 camaro with so many mods your head would explode if i listed them all so bring your jap/chrysler peice of SHIAATTT to the line bitch
I have to get one of these.

944 bodylines with supra boxynes and sharper angles and supra rear.
