Hi, I should use different pencils & I have tried on a few drawings - but I always end up using the good old HB. Therefore most of these are done with HB.

Sorry for my very late reply, no I am not using that technique. I think that can be a good way to start with.

If you use the gridding technique & you enjoy what you are doing & are pleased with the end result - does it really matter what others say? If it is just a hobby then go ahead & enjoy it!
