This is the only song of his solo stuff which I think is more than just "meh". The reason why this is good is that it is SOOOOOO Bloc Party. He needs to get out of the gym and back with the boys, he can bring his electro feel to the table, sure, but he needs the rest of the gang to bring him back down to Earth. Kele we know you loved the rave scene in the 90's but that was a while ago mate.

In some way it's kinda sad, that 'Everything you wanted' - In my eyes the best track on The Boxer - it so epic and catchy due to the fact that the composition, lyrics, atmosphere of the song is sooooooo Bloc Party. The Boxer is a decent album, but in some way Kele has lowerd on this album his own limits by chosing cheesy synth and easy dancefloor fillers, such a same. I want Bloc Party back!! And in a hurry!

@25tesss i understand what you're saying, i think this song is the best on the album aswell, but i'd say the synths are neither cheesy or easy, they're actually top quality 'beats.' Especially the end of "walk tall", that shit is intense! Rather than lowering his limits i think it shows just how brilliant and diverse a musician he is; he is able to write incredibly meaningful lyrics and make brilliant songs like this, while also making some incredible beats which would go down great in any club.
