Well, in this show anyway. She's my favorite from here. Dr. Belljar used to scare me when I was little, but that must've been the goal for that character's appearence. In "Where in the World...", my favorite was, and still is to this day, the freaky-yet-adorable alien Kneemoi.

It depends on your individual equipment, but what I do is hook the VCR up to my camera (which can convert VCR analog to DV digital), and then hook the camera up to my computer with Firewire. Then I use a program that can capture things from cameras (in my case iMovie or Final Cut Express; I don't know what the Windows versions of those would be if you have Windows), and then capture it. I don't know if that'll help you at all but it works for me!

Any chance you could get a higher quality video? It's possible to "send" the output from the VCR to your computer (I hook up a camera to the VCR's output, then use a FireWire cable to have the camera send information to the computer) which essentially makes the VCR send it right to the computer, then I capture it with iMovie (Windows users probably have something else). It's much higher quality than if you record it with a camera. Still, any episode is better than none!
