  • This sounds like a cracking album - just shows what a mistake the Jacksons made when they left Motown for CBS, most of their albums apart from Destiny were so non-descript after that. They should never have written their own stuff - even Michael's best solo stuff was with the best producers and writers, when he was responsible for his output is was pony!

  • @jackwilshiresfakeid Are you crazy !!!!! the Triumph album in 1980 is the best thing the group ever did !! Can you feel it, Lovely one,Heart break hotel ( largely regarded as one of michaels best songs) the list goes on

  • @Russell230870 Can you feel it was a good tune, Heartbreak Hotel - can take or leave it. Lovely One - rubbish. Destiny was their only good non-Motown album.

  • @jackwilshiresfakeid Destiny only had blame it on the boogie, shake your body down and the things i do for you as crackin tunes, the rest was rubbish !

  • @Russell230870 I disagree. Push me Away was a good tune, sounded good musically, good vocal by Michael Jackson. Same with Bless His Soul and the title track.

  • @jackwilshiresfakeid What are you tone deaf? Destiny had All night Dancin and the other songs Russell listed!! I almost choked when you said "Lovely One was rubbish!! To me that's the best song off of Triumph, What about "Time Waits for No One" or "Walk Right Now" or "Everybody" all written by the Brothers Jackson, Know I might be partial, cause I saw them perform during the Triumph Tour, but had they not left, We might not have had Working Day and Night, Bilie Jean,Beat It or Bad damn think!

  • @ImPrettyDammit What are you blind? Russell claims that Destiny was rubbish, I'm the one that said it was good. Lovely One and Walk Right Now are pony, especially so when compared to the solo stuff he was doing at roughly the same time. If he'd stayed with the Jacksons you wouldn't have got the solo work listed, that came when he teamed up with Temperton and Quincy Jones, writers and producers akin to what he left behind at Motown.

  • Can You Post "You Were Made Especially For Me'

  • Killernay are u from maxmium jackson?

  • I play that song call forever came today song everyday.

  • I Have My Sister To Put That Song On My CD.

  • lol that's a funny album cover

  • Im only 17 and just gettin into this old school stuff. can anyone tell me what you would call this? soul...? funk...?

  • this was motown soul pop..

  • best J5 Motown album ever. title cut too fast

  • how come no one on YT has posted you were made especially for me? :(

  • in this vid the song moving violation ist faster and better !!

  • I loved this album but I think the family was right to leave Motown for more control of the artistic and personal lives. However, Jermaine had married Berry Gordy's daughter so this was the last album he recorded with them as the Jackson 5; and the marriage ended in divorce. I wish Jermaine had gone with the family, he was missed during live performances and Michael had to work even harder to cover up the gap.

  • this was a good album

  • Forever Came Today is a banger!

  • You're right, but at the end many things goin' wrong wit the Motown : the fact that The Jackson 5 (not The Jacksons yet) couldn't make a lot of performence unless they had the Motown wanted them to do it. For exemple, since they had left the Motown for CBS, the Jacksons had their OWN tv show ! They could write their OWN songs, organize themselves... ya see... :-)

(LOVE YOU 4EVER AND EVER MICHAEL. RIP MY ANGEL)

  • Come on now!All I do is think of you " is a jam"!!!!

    Nothing is wrong with Motown!!!

  • Grr...I can't find "Especially for me" anywhere! :(

  • With the exception of "All I do is think of you", this album was a mess!! They couldn't run from Motown fast enough!

  • On the contrary, Allen.

If you listen to ALL THE SONGS IN THEIR ENTIRETY, you will find major gems.

The absolute best songs out of the "Moving Violation" LP were the entire A-Side ("Forever Came Today", "Moving Violation", "You Were Made (Especially For Me)", and especially "Honey Love" -- quintessential Jackson 5 Motown!), and of course "All I Do Is Think Of You" which was covered by Troop in 1990 (good, but not quite as sweet).

I liked "Breezy", except for the conclusive breakdown.
