Although I am a viewer of Harball, I certainly don't view the show or Mr. Matthews as an expert on racial matters.

Pretty soon, there will be no words one can use if this continues. If this had occurred prior to the election and the outcry was from the Black community, the first criticism would have been that Blacks were being overly sensitive. One thing racism taught many people of color -it's not what you're called, it's what you answer to that matters.

Gorilla glue is a popular adhesive that many use and reference by name. His inference to the product was because he was expressing the thought that Obama should spend more time on domestic issues and should be glued to his seat. No more, no less.

The only people who seem to be making such a fuss over this are White people and I applaud the attempt at sensitivity, but naive, disingenuous or whatever you wish to call me, I think I'm a better judge than most of you.

I understand racism in America from the perspective of oppressive majority. You would be foolish to discount that.

I've also lived in other parts of the world were white Christians were an oppressed minority and have to attend to their behavior and follow civil restrictions accordingly. The freedom to extract myself was my only salvation.

There is no monopoly on understanding the human condition.

You don't have to be black, but you do have to be a part of a minority group and have personally experienced racism to understand it and most White Americans -no matter how well meaning - will never understand it fully until they themselves have personally have done so.
