Surprised people think a heli can not flip like that while in 100% physics and yet flip in slow motion. I have been flying for about 8 months now and when I flip my 700, I can manage the collectives and make it roll real s l o w. Its just collective stick management.
Are you in the "advanced" setting or is it set to "beginner"? There's nothing hard about hovering with a heli that hard, especially if you're on "beginner" setting. I've been using realflight for about 1.5 hours and can hover in any upright or inverted orientation and i can keep it very stable. (this is with a raptor 60 so my 450 will be a bit harder :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to make these outstanding training videos!!! They've been very helpful in my training. I noticed in the inverted hover video you said to not get frustrated...i was getting pretty frustrated because it is very difficult to train your brain to sort of dot eh opposite from upright hovering. I'm trying to stay focused - thanks again for taking to time to make these videos!!!!!
I think it's awesome tutorial!! and extra advice makes sense. When inverted the throttle is reversed, pull back to go up and push up to go down. I'm sure I'll wreck a few times trying to get brain to remember. In 2 weeks I can fly a 4ch channel nose in, nose out, thru windows, doorways, under tables sideways and now I'm bored. I will enjoy watching these vids and learning on a sim as well. Thanks for your efferts, this helps us 3D newbies a lot. Cheers!!
I´m looking for 3D videos for learning and i chose this ones, it´s my favorite and one thing very good for me is you talk slowly who´s help me to understand. THANKS from Portugal!!!
Jeezus, that back flip was "slow motion". If you want to really help newbies, you have to turn up the physics to show the actual slop/action that results when flipping. A real heli doesn't not flip so beautifully like that. Most important advice, I can give newbies is to be consistent in your flipping technique. Don't mix sideways and back flip. Do it only one way. Also, be prepared for a less than perfect result. You may be sliding or off angle. This needs to be emphasized.
The Physics are 100%. Radio is setup with no expo in the sim and ready for full 3D. With practice you can perform slow flips like that on the sim and in real life. It just takes collective management and timing. Good luck with your training!
@zfloop I am have just discovered your goldmine of training videos, much appreciated, thanks. Are all of your videos done with 100% settings? I have been using D/R and expo for training, would you recommend starting out at 100%? Thanks.

Advanced. Its great that this isn't hard for you. Most people struggle with hovering myself included. Good luck with your flying.

@rckid707 If you look at the virtual controller on-screen it says Phoenix.
