This might be the worst interview I have ever seen conducted. Ms. Cohen is horrid and botches a rare opportunity to mine the depths of an obviously intelligent, yet troubled interviewee.
She is humorless, aimless in her questioning, seemingly disinterested due to the fact she's not listening to his answers, refuses to follow up with any substance, obviously has done little to no real research and is unprepared with questions.
"2 yrs. later, he would take his own life"? His dead body was found stuffed into a turkey coup. They said he ingested 150 phenobarbitol tabs.
Riiiiight....he ingested 150 barbs and crawled into a turkey coup and shut the door, ironically less than 3 mos. after George HW Bush was inaugurated. Go figure.
Rather than comment on the film, I'd like to say that Nancy and I dated briefly in the 80's. We met at an antique show on one of the piers, and she mistook me for Michael O'Donoghue. I wish we had kept in touch.
All these hippy interviews of Abbie are terrible, passive aggressive they are in their dishonesty about truth and love and 'fame', He was bi-polar which gets worse with age generally but his words are prophetic, kids today tend to not understand empathy or selflishness, Woodstocks Dead, Abbie speaks the truth, This is a New Century! No Heros No Masters No Gods "So Do You Lecture?", "I Don't Lecture, I Speak", Be Aware, D.I.Y.
@ampallang7 Yeah he looks kinda depressed here(1986)..too bad the s.s.r.i. drugs werent around much (except prozac)...we need this guy for the current afgan waste, and bush aftermath
