  • better than the great wall

  • CHINA IS CAPITALISTIC COUNTRY,MORE THEN MANY EUROPS COUNTRY!

  • dude, we Chinese never respects our gods. Changjiang river and Yellow river are like dragon gods to the ancient Chinese. Yet recently we've trying to put harnesses on the dragons, how foolish!

  • @jimmyjamesWang do americans respect god i dont think so my bitch...hahahaha..u will only believe in god when death is near

  • i wonder when they build this bridge what will they do with the death workers?

    Ignore them? O___0!!!!

  • @maomiandmyna Simple. They could either cremate them, or just bury them. What... did you expect them to turn them into zombies so they could keep working?

  • @Roodosutaa you have good imagination. U don't understand Chinese? They think they did have too much citizens so if a little of people disappears, it doesn't matter. That is what I mean =___= I just want they to stop wasting their people's lives like that.

  • @maomiandmyna I'm ethnically Chinese and I know exactly what you mean. While Mainland China is known for its poor regard for human lives, in this instance, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge isn't known for a high accident rate or high death tolls during its construction compared to other large projects of a similar scale in the world, so you'd have to substantiate what you've claimed as "wasting lives" by stating FACTS.

  • @Roodosutaa never >< Life is life, useful big project can't ever replace for human life. U can rebuilt building again and again. But u can't make death restore to life. I learn about Chinese history, a lot of building took peasants lives away (war, Mongolian and Europe invaded, built the Forbidden city, damp, some emperor killed innocent people....so on.....) See? China needs to stop doing something like that. I don't care why they wasted lives, but this is a serious CRIME ="=

  • @maomiandmyna This world is built and ruled by brave people, not cowards. We live, we work hard and we die for our nation.

  • @FyzikalKemizt No I disagree. The fact is Chinese didn't die for their nation. They die 'cuz government FORCED them. They already volunteered to fight for their China a long long time ago, and now they got peace. So why they have to die anymore?

  • @maomiandmyna Don't the westerns believe that u guys r going to heaven after death? then why would u worry about it...

  • Yes, but only of someone accepts Jesus' sacrifice for their sins. Only then can someone get to Heaven, and an eternal life with God.

  • it's just a fucking bridge who just chinese people will use.

    whats the deal -_-

  • CHINA IS SO FAR AHEAD OF THE REST OF THE WORLD.

  • @tycoonpratik We are not far a head of the world yet, at the moment we are just catching up so fast at a frightening speed. Soon, we'll be a head.

  • Wow thats fking long bridge ;O

  • go china go

  • Yea but there can be bridges that can with stand all of those stuff and I think there are built examples, only problem is, to make such a bridge costs alot!

  • Thats an awesome song at 1:30, anyone know what its called?

  • @R3MUS2007

I don't think it has a name, the beat is very similar to "clabbed to death"

  • \/ Smart guys with no jobs an no lives \/

  • It will be too expensive, with those conditions, they will have to renovate every time, if it collapses while you're driving, you're 100% death

  • even if you are driving on a highway on land, there still a chance you can get killed by car accident. and the chance is much higher than a brigde collapse.

  • that's sooooooooooooooo amazing!! Is it almost done yet?

  • yes

  • @MaxC17 It was done 3 years ago and opened 2 years ago

  • if began big earthquake 8,1 richter,horror-horror-horror!!!

  • Actually Americans are building the freedom tower

  • This is so sad to watch for an American. Here in the United States, we do not create any more great projects like the Hoover Dam or the Panama Canal. We are too concerned about saving dolphins, ducks, spyders, snails, flys etc. Tell me one large scale project that is not painfully bogged down with court battles and environment studies. We all know what countries are going up and down right now :<

  • What you said is true, when a country is going through a Golden Age, that's when all the great construction projects are being build. Look at Great Wall of China, the Indian Tajmahal, the Egyptian Pyramid, the Babylonian Hanging Gardens, the Roman colliseum, the US Empire State buildings, all are world wonders built when their nations were in their most glorious and prosperous times.

  • @stevenabb you are wrong, the states may not be doing that because they are now focussing on things that are going to be beneficial on a long term basis, for example, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, just to mention a few :)

  • outstanding............but why they need so many bridge........Can anyone tell me?

  • Zoom in googlemap and you'll see why. It cuts the distance in half.

  • faster commute = money

  • china is inter-connecting all the major cities in the entire yangtze: shanghai, hangzhou, suzhou, ningbo, nanjiang. etc.

i lived in the north side of the bridge. those cities were not accessible in the old days. now if i drive out, i can reach most of them in 2 to 3 hours.

  • So people don't have to fly. Look at the bridge NOW it has a double decker 2nd top bridge and the bridge is a water fountain with hundreds of nozzles. Look on "google images" to see it or search here on youtube for it.

  • to increase their economy.

  • What a feat of construction

  • we travel frequently across this bridge, first time is very excited, now so boring.... longest bridge, still amazing.

  • haha~ boring ~~ ja....

    without it, more boring :P

  • we crossed the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island in the Canadian Maritimes and it was only 8 miles long but this one is incredible!

  • where the rest?

  • Superb bridge!! didnt even realise it existed upto a week or so ago. All videos ive seen shows smog.. coincedental or generally polutted area?

  • if you're talking about the water being a brown color its because of the minerals in it.. (i think its mostly sand but someone else can correct me on what exactally it is) it has caused a problem when the river meets the sea turning it into a high traffic port with little dept/clearance during low tides..

  • @klumzyee It's silt deposit being churned out by the Yangtze.

  • impressive!

  • @spirulene more lies-

  • its one of the most complex structures in the world!!!! cool

  • thats crazy!!! at the same its kinda dangerous with those waves.. freaking tsunami or something..

  • then built another one

  • Wish we can do something like that in Australia!

  • proud to live in hangzhou

  • so do i~

  • @justfortalking2008

It actually has very little to do with Hangzhou, but more or less connect Ningbo with the north shore of the bay, especially Shanghai. It's primary purpose is to connect Beilun port facility closer to the Yantze Delta and Shanghai's industrial base.

  • @justfortalking2008 really? geeez, my jellybuds just tingled ><

  • this is so amazing.
