  • OH GLORAAAY! This recording got me through college. You just don't know what a blessed man and anointing can really do for your spirit. I contemplated the power of the holy ghost more deeply because of this record. I learned to not be ashamed to shout because of this ministry. It's a FIRE children! It's REAL. He's REAL! When you understand that down in your soul, you wont worry about the praise team, the choir, or lack thereof. You'll make your own holy ghost noise.

  • i watch this when i start thinking its something i need to do to get something done! i am reminded that God dont need to consult my neighbors b4 he blesses nor my family b4 he delivers, hes God all by His self! all i have to do is have faith, works to go along and obedience and God will not allow his word to return void! no matches necessary!! lol

  • LOL!

  • i would have toooooooooooooo

  • At 4:44, that woman looked like Ciely when she was clapping..WOW!! LOL..that is how she was looking in the movie..

  • Stefan,

Wrong, we need all forms of praise and worship...Some black congregations are nothing but emotion and some black congregations are dead as door knobs...Secondly, stop generalizing, I know some Catholics who really love the lord. Just because they aren't swinging, spitting, and jumping all over people doesn't make them less a Christians...Get out of the hood and see the world.

  • It takes all different types of praise and all are mentioned in the BIBLE....People need to praise the way God leads them to and not worry about what others may say or think...quietly or full body..either way it is praise

  • i listen to this song every day i fell inlove with this song. my son did to he is 13 years old. Glory to God

  • one of my old time favorites...these songs are the real gospel.

  • hey glory...they have me shouting!!!!!!!!

  • wut does he say about Jeremiahin the song please..

    Jeremaih s...... fireee ?

  • Jeremiah said it's like fire. Shut up in my bones.

God don't need no matches. He's fire by himself.

  • to wave18: "Jeremiah said it's like fire" are the lyrics. "...his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones,..." (Jeremiah 20:9).

  • MMMMAAAAAANNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THISS SONGG!!!!!!!!!!!! When i was a little gurl like 7 or 8....... the choir that Im in now used to tear this songg up!! And everytime they sang this song i was on the drums lol!!!!! Miss the old days!!! Go ahead Rev. James!!! lol R.I.P. :(

  • to 09elmoluver:

This song is timeless. It's always good. Rev. James Moore was highly talented and highly anointed.

  • at 1:40-45 whats wrong wit that ladies head! LOL! her grandaughter or niece is fine! :)

  • Thank you for this i REALLY needed that laugh!!!

  • this song brings back good memories..now this is what you call a anointed concert

  • good sanitified music. make you want to dance.glory!!!

  • Ms. Dorcus Thigpen is a mess. I'm surprise she didn't cut a step her self. This woman been known for directing and in the middle song she has her moments. Watch those MMC videos and you will see yourself. This woman is bad!!!!. I Love MMC and Dorcus Thigpen too!!!

  • @kadeemgraves lol i said the same thing or do her spin she always do lol..

  • Still the best thing on Youtube!

  • 1:33 looks like family matters dad

  • Sure does! LOL!

  • This a choir! I miss these days! Praise teams are good, but I miss the days of a Holy Ghost filled choir that wasn't ashamed to praise God and not think of what anyone had to say about it! We done got to cute now!

  • to zlahc:

Praise teams have excluded the congregation out of devotion service. Churches used to sing songs that everyone can participate in. Now you have praise teams singing songs that the congregation can't participate in, because the song is sung in 7 part harmony with 3 bridges and 2 vamps.

  • LOL, LOL.

  • @ Stefan990:

I agree with you one hundred percent. The congregations can't follow most of these praise teams. There's nothing like a foot stomping choir!

  • to zlahc:

A lot of these sophisticated black people prefer praise teams because they don't want to praise God at all. They don't want to clap their hands and stomp their feet, and they certainly don't want to shout. Blacks have good jobs now and think they don't need to praise Him. They getting just like them people in the Catholic Church.

  • rofl thats funny! I attend a church that doesnt look at a mans color. We praise god to the point of exhaustion. My god is no respecter of persons. Let there be neither greek nor jew bond nor free we are all children of a living god. but i love your comment!!

  • @Stefan990 bahahahahahahhahaha 7 part harmony......woooooow that is true in some churches though, not all, but many lol

  • @Stefan990 OMG, you are SO right! Ha Ha Ha! "7 part harmony" !!! You cracked me up.....Thank you for this Matt 5:9!

  • @Stefan990

    yeah you are so right!!

that is why i am praying that we at my church can get away from the p/w music to more of a congregational type of worship were everyone is involved

  • @Stefan990

lol, but that is so true, we [the praise team] sing stuff the seniors have never heard of so they look so lost, sometimes the youngins' even look like what are they singing.?

  • @Stefan990 You sholl know what to say

  • @Stefan990

One thing that the Reformation was to bring congregational singing back into the churches. I think we are in need of another Reformation so singing can return back to the congregation again.

  • @Stefan990 As a worship leader whenever i can i use old time songs because as much as i like the new songs of today there's something too clean and posh about them. Old time Holy Ghost filled songs, when they hit you, you don't care how you look, how you sound, who's watching you, you're just gone. I'm not saying the writers of today aren't Holy Ghost led but back a day songs I dunno there's something undiluted about them.

  • where can i buy this cd?

  • you might want to check the web site .

  • 5:07 Mhy gawd Mhy gawd! Anyone know the name of the guitarists?

  • I think the bassist is Jimmy Neuble

    The guitarist is Jonathon Dubouse

  • hello Im Sam Scott da bass player and drummer for ms mass for 15 years on all da cds until da last one,but thats my mentor and friend MR.Joel Smith on bass. That week we finnally met and we have been da best of friends as well as Jonny D on lead every since. We had a lot of fun and they taught me how to be a great musician and a person as well and i have carried that with me evry since then!!!!And Jimmy is a good friend too!

  • I stand corrected. Thanks for straightening that out. :) I think these guys are some brilliant musicians.

  • Thank you for sharing your gift...God bless you!

  • to musique1010 or Sam Scott:

Are you the drummer that played on the Mississippi Mass Choir song "Joy?" Are you the drummer that played on the Rev. James Moore song "Send Your Rain" (album: "I Will Trust In The Lord...")?

  • I know I should keep this to myself, but it's like fire! Malaco know they could've gotten dude's teeth fixed...

  • He lost his teeth due to sickness-diabetes.

  • SO funny but a blessing! I hope he can some sing at our church!!

  • LMAO at the lady at 1:40

  • that's the rocking head bob, haven't you done that in church?

  • @matthew5and9 yea that the classic church head bob right before a person taps out and starts shouting all over the place!! lol

  • @matthew5and9 I'm doing the head bob right now. This is my favorite alltime shout music peace.James Moore was the King of Shout music.Perfect tempo, and the piano player got it right, with the churchin sound.

  • @ogwarrior2010 LOL....THE LIL OLD LADY....SHE WAS GETTING IT....LOL

  • SING YALL. I SUNG THAT IN MY CHURCH

  • Is that Dorcus directing the choir??

  • Yes it is.

  • She looks different!!!

  • sho nuff did not want to go home

  • See This Is When You Went To Church and Didn't Want to Leave

  • Gotta love gospel choirs, they can never end a song. It feel so good that you think the song is over... NO!! The musicians wanna keep going, and you know the choir isn't tired. Then, we gotta shout!!

  • See you got to have the Holy Ghost to be this annointed. Most don't have the Holy Ghost that sing gospel music..a betcha a lot of folks just sing gospel just because they couldn't make it on the world songs.

  • bogus. why are u putting those people's business out there? lol

  • LOL!!!

  • i hope malaco records knows how much james moore and the mmc have blessed so many people through the years. these clips bring back so many memories for a lot of us, please allow them to stay up.

  • Yes Yes!!!!!

  • Lawd! After hearing this you can't help but to get fired up. Hallelujah!

  • I feel ya. Man..James was annointed.

  • My absolute favorite. Shout out to Cathedral AME Zion in Jackson, Mississippi. Pastor Evans can tear this one up!!

  • Off the hook. We'll sing this song one day.

  • Thank you so much for putting this back! The best thing on Youtube--and I got a lot of vids on my list!

    Awesome!
