Ok. I've done this million times. I write: record (name), do the shit, then stop, host_framerate 30, startmovie (name) avi, playdemo (name), watch the shit, then endmovie. Result in garrysmod/garrysmod: A MILLION OF F*CKING TGA IMAGES AND THE SOUND FILE UNDER THE VID NAME EVERY TIME, IF I DO IT VERY CAREFULLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS OR NOT, IT ALWAYS HAPPENS!!!!!!!! Wanna know what I find weird? To show us how to use source recorder, he has to use Hypercam, when he could just use Hypercam by itself to record it instead of Source Recorder.

@XxAk47MoNsTeRxX uh you could either re-record it or start over. quit CSS go back in and redo every thing start at host_framerate 30 then the rest of the steps if it doesnt work try a different codex to compress the video file

If you replace the .avi stuff eith .Mpeg4 (mp4)  then You get that format which is smaller, and good for youtube uploading.

1. go back in and redo the movie like do the source recorder things( you didnt finsish all the steps)

2. the codex u use wasnt supported for what your computer can do.

GUYS JUST TO LET YOU KNOW AND FOR ANYONE WHO HAS VISTA, AVI FILES DO NOT WORK WELL WITH IT, AND WONT PLAYBACK YOUR VIDS WITH SOUND, THIS IS BECAUSE THE PROGRAM THAT GETS THE PREVIEW IMAGE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH VISTA UNLESS YOU GET A PATCH SOMEWHERE. IT ALSO DOES NOT WORK WITH WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER SOMETIMES, SO I RECOMMEND CHANGING FILE FORMAT OR USING A GOOD VIDEO EDITOR

2. choose your codec

well see every codex has a different file... so try certain ones. EX

1. Make a video and record it.

2. save the avi as all the codecs u have

3. which ever one plays is the one u should use.
