It bothers me just like any other dog owner when people start goign around saying bad things about types of breeds. I have 2 rottweilers never bite or anything then I come on youtube and see the stats saying the worst injuries and stuff seeing Rottweilers are 2nd. That bugs me alot I know a Golden Retriver they are supose to be the friendly dog my friend owns one and it attacked me but no one ever says anything about them.

i dont care what ppl say i've known some of THE most gentle hearted pitt's EVER and most came from shelters, or were strays, i personally find it heartbreaking and upsetting Cali and some places in Canada that have a 100% ban on pitt's, sure they're bred to fight, so are american and english bulldogs, the pitt i had NEVER bit me, but i was attacked luckily mildly by my bf's american bulldog, so why is there no ban on ANY of these dogs bred to herd and take live stock sown and keep them there...?

Careful when quoting stats... You do realize these are based on bites that actually do damage. A large dog is more likely to cause "serious" damage than a smaller dog. The people that put these lists together collect their data from hospitals where patients report serious dog bites.

Pit bulls are like dangerous loaded weapons. If handled correctly they might never hurt a fly. But a VAST majority of pit bull owners are drawn to the breed for all the wrong reasons. They are gang members, dog fighters, and others macho jack asses who use the pit bulls to boost their own ego/sense of masculinity.
They train the dogs to be vicious and then fail to respect the dangerous animal they have created. They let them roam free around children in their own families and neighborhoods.

Getting him ready to maul a toddler to death, of course. People buy these dogs, train them to be vicious, and then fail to properly respect/contain them. Then some poor child gets his throat ripped out. It happens far too often.

Labeling a breed of dog for the actions of certain ones is exactly like labeling races and ethnicities. "All black people are criminals" , "All mexicans are lazy", "All Germans are Nazis" - untrue, racist statements said by the ignorant. Pitbulls are incredibly loyal, intelligent dogs, who suffer tremendous abuse and neglect and unjust fear and hatred. Dogs rely on humans to take care of them. It is not the fault of the dogs, but of the people who abuse them.

However, the owners should be banned from owning ANY kind of breed.
Because whether you guys want to realize it or not ..ANY breed can be trained to be viscious and maul a kid or anyone else.
