Here is a message from Germany for non-German speakers how to pronounce "Mauthe" properly (instead of "mothy" or something like that). There are 2 ways:
1) Please try to say "maute" in the Spanish way. This is very similar to the German name!
2) The "auth" in the middle is pronounced like the (British) English word "out".
You see, the "h" is silent and NOT part of a lisping sound.
The "e" in the end sounds like an unaccented "a", NOT "ee",
@Dirk1961 - So it'd be something like "mou-tay" or "mou-tah" (trying to write the sounds I'm trying to make)? Like starting out to say "mouth" and changing the end?
@sappha58 Please open naturalreaders (dot) com and write "Maute" (better than "Mauthe") into the "Try it" window and choose GERMAN below. The best German voices to choose from are Klaus (male) and Sarah, while Klara's and Reiner's voice don't sound proper enough for (my) German ears. Each voice needs a few seconds to be generated from entering the words or numbers.
This will be the BEST WAY EVER for you to listen to "Mauthe" pronounced properly!
Make me a video of the mechanism on this clock, for the last time.
