Only video ever with rappers snowboarding...I love it. It's too bad that most of us African Americans don't hit the slopes once in a while...I love snowboarding...;-)
@frankie1089, because nowadays, No one puts in work like these guys did. These guys still rap even though they may not be in the spotlight anymore. A lot of these new artists don't stay consistent. All you need is someone who can produce, vouch for you, and get you hyped up and you can say whatever the fuck you wanna say and sell it. Thus, it's not about talent, more just about getting people hyped over dumb shit..This doesn't go for everyone though..
@frankie1089 Well, keep it alive for one thing. I gurantee you, any middle schooler right now does not know who Wu-Tang Clan is or even Brand Nubian..shit, I'll take it back even further and go as far as 3rd Bass. Not that their expected to know, but these cats paved THE way for music of today. Plus. different time in society and in culture.
its still there...you just have to actively search it out......there are a shitload of good artists out there...a lot of small label southern calli hip hop is reaaal good
i know, but the world has to know about this music. i don't wanna have to spends hours searching for good music. What happened to the days when good music was found on the radio?
@frankie1089 Why do keep saying HIPHOP is dead or died at some point...my ears continue to listen to good music...MF Doom, Apathy, P.U.T.S., Masta Ace, Killarmy, Hieroglyphics to name a few from a long list of good music...n its a very loooooong one too

@frankie1089 hip hop hasn't died! thats why theres people like you and me listening to this kind of stuff everyday, and theres still tons of new stuff coming out on the regular that comes sick with it. sure, its a little hard to find, and at most partys, noone wants to hear it, but its fucking there!
@frankie1089 That is the most pitiful list of Old School Rappers I've ever seen. Eminem, Soul Of Mischiefs, Heiroglyphs, Murs, Wu-Tang, Binary Star, etc. Lil Wayne = Old School? Really? He's a joke.

The Souls still have what it takes to save the world of True School Hip Hop. This track is proof, it will never spoil. West Coast Love from LA to the Bay, Compton to Oakland, 93 til Infinity, LA Underground!!!
yeah for real, watch any Plan B skatevideo and there's a bunch of songs out of the Hiero camp in there. Mike Carroll skated to Casual, a few guys skated to Del. there's some more i can't remember
what's so hard to understand??? they are flowin' about smokin' herb then educating wack mc's on the art of rhymin... listen to madvillian's shadows of tomorrow. if medication's abstract to ya then shadows of tomorrow will leave you with ????? LOL.
u wouldnt know me homie...unless you're from northern Cali & u smoked weed in the 90's...then there's a good chance u know me..lol...listen to the song on my page & see if u recognize my voice at all
this is the problem with hip hop. Bling was always a rapper's trademark. DMC had it, fuckin Mr. T had it. Then, something happened late in the 90s where everyone had it. Generally, all of these cats sucked on the mic. Fans of the music seemed to dig what was going on with it, they followed it, and it has de-evolved to this point. That first part might not be right, but this is: people love that shitty music. Companies made it, found out people like it, and they make more. It's a circle.
na thats a personal opinion cause people listen to old music listen to the lyrics and relate to the music and move to the beat cause the media doesnt cover them no more
yes, but why doesn't the media cover them anymore? because that's not what's selling, right? the bullshit you hear on the radio is what has a big market right now. And, companies continue to pump it out because, unfortunately, it has a fanbase. Or do you disagree?

It used to be that word of mouth, was the way to spread a real fanbase in hip hop. People would flock to see this new cat they heard about. I heard something a while back, that on Jay-Z's fade to black, one cat said he was going to spit that radio shit until he had the money to do what he wanted on the mic. Why change your lyrics for green paper, just to change back? Dumb.
My opinion is, Real hiphop talks about real, true situations goin on the world, its informative, its up todate.. the real shit goin on in this world that hiphop ARTISTS started spittin about could noooway be alloud on the media as it would inform the nation with truth and it was bringin to many people together. hiphop is an art where you think origonal and freely.. shit the goverment want the exact oposit!
U couldn't be more right about that. Remember when NWA and similar artists were being outright CENSORED for their lyrics in the early 90s? Cuz the gov. didn't want truth about life in other facets of society to get out, they wanted to keep ppl living in their happy little bubble and behave like brainwashed robots, blind to the facts. The freedom of speech issue came into play too much so now they censor in a less "direct" way - pushing dumb music thus keepin the real hidden from sight ..
Whoever pasted that big fat dick thing should leave because if you actually listen to hip hop you would hate like that. and kanye west definitely made beats and mc'd way back in the day. i think it is... if you watch snowboard videos there's underground hip hop on most of them. but as far as hip hop videos go... a bunch of mc's dress like they're going boardin' but still film in the city =)
i just found these dudes march 10 09... i dont kno why ive never heard these dudes, shit ive been jammin shit none of my boys heard of before, now im the noob. goo dshit real hard. gravediggaz go hard as well try them different style tho
I bumped into them before 15 months or so. My impression: In one league with a tribe called quest and pharcyde if not even the best hip hop act ever... seriously...
yeah man, wish my life was easygoing like that.thats why I cant always listen or watch these songs, sometimes you just gotta listen to songs like Prime- no matter,or other sad, frustrtion expressing songs.
the shred, good way of putting it and ya that's soo sick, i had no idea rappers would even consider doing that, but then again, i like to rap and i like snowboarding...sorry, im down with the shred ;)

I bumped into them before 15 months or so. My impression: In one league with a tribe called quest and pharcyde if not even the best hip hop act ever... seriously...
HispanicImpression 2 years ago 4
Totally agree, right up there Quest and Pharcyde and the like. This category of hip hop is the real shit.
