I have seen quite a few but this is by far the best interpretation of this immortal theme,it carries the soul of the original and I know that Glenn Miller is smiling in heaven
wow, nice version of this song. verry well played.
i never expected the tyros 2 to sound as good, after seeing a few video's of the tyros 4, but i guess the whole tyros series are great keyboard/workstations!
Well have just finished listening to chinesefake thinking they must be one hell of a good player making that comment, and to be honest I'd much rather listen to your playing than their's anyday just loved it.
i love this song reminds me of them old "1940" movies. an open ballroom full of romantic dancers swaying in dim light while the band prepares for closing. you and me and a bottle of don perignone. ma`cherie amour...
Thank you. Excellent. I agree with another comment...a lot of work went into this. You are superbly playing some of the older standards at age 23 with a great feel! Hats off to you!
This is wonderfully played. Nothing lazy about this, watch his left hand working the chords. This is NOT easy. Glenn Miller took ages to find this sound and it took even longer to get the chords right. This guy has obviously practiced and practiced this and it is a wonderful demonstration of his and the Tyros 2's abilities. Simply marvellous playing and a great recording in its own right. Anyway, show me a single musician who isn't lazy? Me included! Bring on Tyros 3 in Oct 2008!
Being a professional vocalist, this is an amzing piece of work/pleasure... You can accompany me any time you like... Uotstanding, as was your "At Last"...
Well for what a Tyros costs I think I could hire the GB band to play this for me in my living room (if I could fit them all). I just saw an add in the paper by a Tyros looking for a new owner lol
I saw the Miller band with Ray McKinley in Cincinnati back in the 50's. It's nice to know that with all the other music you young people still like this style also.
That's absolutely beautiful. I have a Yamaha Clavinova thats over 10 years old, and I don't think it can do that. That's pretty close to the actual glenn miller arrangement!
Hey this is very nice, and so is the keyboard. I was wondering how good the piano sound is on this one, is it better than the one on the previous Yamaha keyboards? However, nothing can replace the sound of a real, well-tuned piano :)
could you give me the chords that you changed, i thought it may be easier if you type the order of all the chords, and match them with the copy i have, could you do that?
I used the 40s big band style I think. If you get an updated music finder for this keyboard, there are excellent registrations for a number of songs, including this one.
I think I'm going to have one, Had the PRS2000 for about 2 or 3 years now, I promise this time I will learn to play & read music (I said that last time & the time before) But I do love things of beauty & this keyboard is beautiful. So net searching for me, might get a Christmas bargain.
This is a georgous sound!!! As you mentioned, the rhythm is '40s Big Band' which I guess is one of the accompanyment presets .
Is the 'OTS' a preset tone set on the Tyros and if so are you able to determine what instruments make it up. Nearest I can make out it is one or more clarinets.
There's no midi involved. Its using the on board style "40s Big band" and one of the OTS (can't remember which one). Other than that, its all as you see here.

Very nice sounds and well played but, lets be honest! it is mainly the Tyros backing track that makes the song.

How did you make this music with the Tyros 2? A midi file ? Did you downloaded it from the database from Yamaha ?

There's no midi involved. Its using the on board style "40s Big band" and one of the OTS (can't remember which one). Other than that, its all as you see here.
