The gas comment in the beginning is stupid. We all know fuel makes power. Top fuel drag car makes 8000hp on nitromethane and 3000hp on regular gas. I guess thats poor tuning also huh

why is the motor mounted sideways? how the fuck does the transmission work. im so confused, it looks like a fucking sr20 or rb in that bitch... somebody explain? I mean i could see making custom mounts and what not but why? Whats there to gain in mounting the engine that way? Sure it's a tubed out drag car but doesn't make the most of sense.

It is RWD. With the engine configured this way they can mount it to one of several GM transmissions which can be built to reliably handle 2-3000, or even more hp. Aside from being stronger, it is also lighter this way. The transmission sits right behind the engine and goes straight through to the drive shaft then back to the axle.

AWD wouldn't really provide any kind of advantage to this car.

It doesn't run on alcohol it runs on methanol, it made 922rwhp not 944 and the cam is a custom grind. Basically like a FP 5R and 11R. More or less the biggest cam you can physically put in a DSM head.
