@RemoKinga dont get intimidated by the strange words. its more simple than you know. he was just showing the different modes. you can play them in any key. and all of the flattened and raised stuff isnt anything hard. everything comes off of a Major scale. what changes them to minor, 7th, etc.. is just "raising" or "flattening" certain notes in the major scale.
im still learning all of this but its very helpful. you should definately learn it. its more easy than it looks and sounds.
@lovescarguitar amen, bro. Finally a vid that has explained the 'secrets of the modes' that I can understand! I've known that the notes in c maj can be related to chords eg Cmaj,Dmin,Emin,Fmaj,Gmaj,Amin,Bmin-flat5 but was always bewildered how the modes linked in - the 3rds and 5ths from the starting note! my god how freakin obvious it is! Now i can shred and look like I know what i'm playing (even tho it sounds like the same crap I played before this eureka). It is quite simple.
@redhotchilliprawn lol i didnt even remember commenting on this until i came back to this vid and saw. and i remember now. but yep it is much easier than it looks and sounds people. awesome
Nice, I am actually a metal guitarist, but I'm putting a lot of time into learning some jazz to learn and practice scales and such... To help me with improvisation.... This stuff helps a great deal... well done guys... :)
