Not sure the name of the sond. It could be composed by by Shigeru Umebayashi, Look for " 'Polonaise' by Shigeru Umebayashi" on Youtube and you will see the similarities of these 2 songs. Both of them are incredible.

People who are going to see this movie should aslo check out "In the Mood For Love". They have a lot of similarities, like the background (1960's), makeup, wardrobe and the music. Even Shigeru Umebayashi who did the music for the theme song for "In the Moood For Love" is the 2nd composer for "A Single Man". And the song you hear here is very similar (in a good way) to the theme song for "In the Mood for love". I think this is going to be a beautiful but a sad movie.
