For all those saying "YOU SUCK", "I can play better than you.", "You're breathing is off.", take this into account, hes playing a 6/4 size tuba. Which means it requires more air, it's harder to articulate notes due to less resistance, and whoever said he has a bad tone must have never played a tuba larger than a 4/4. I've played tubas of all sizes and from my experience, smaller tubas are easier to play overall, larger tubas(if you got the air and skill) sound much darker and resonate more.

Try listening to the piece (or Mr. Tubadylan) and figuring it out. It will really improve your ear, and once you figure it out you will have it memorized.

Fat yes, but more likely the largest kid in school is the only one who can hold it and have the lungs to put the air in it. I played it in high school cause and i was the biggest (but not fattest) kid in the band.

Not to be rude or something, but...Don't you know how to play Tuba? It's easy. When you breath, you do it for like 1 second...That's not neccessary! You can breath for like 0,1 second only by using the right and left side of your mouth, instead of using your whole mouth...Try it!
