I've studied the actual Hamlet very seriously for the past two years... But Seeing something like this I think would be genuinely funny because it mocks the various plot devices of the play... Such as everyone dying in a representative end of false apearances and deception in denmark. This movie by contrast is anything but false in appearance! Straight up mockery. Got to just laugh!

The awesome Pam Brady and her talented friends created a comic masterpiece. This movie may have left some (boring people) scratching their heads, but it truly works on so many levels. The very premise of a sequel to Hamlet is so ripe with insanity...so, yeah, ya gotta have a time machine, gotta have relativity, gotta have Einstein, and, um, ya gotta have Spiro Agnew and Mickey Mouse... Plus it has so much heart and such a positive message. Coogan was PERFECT. Great songs. Bravo!

People who deem it bad do so because it's not suitable for the big screen in these days when more movies don't even have a storyline, just special effects. Which is basically kitsch. H2 shows the lenghts to which theatre must go to presently in order to meet the majority of the public's demands. Even though that includes some Hollywood elements included in the staging of a play.

A touch of "Summer Heights High" with a rude poorly done "High school

I went to see this film expecting utter crap, and I actually enjoyed it. It helped that the group of friends I went with all had experienced high school drama with teacher who was not far off from this.

It was also fun that we were the only ones in the theatre.

to me this movie is genuis, there are a few frames that could have been edited out,what they do capture on film in some of the smallest of moments is pretty unreal,The way the music ties in to the plot of Hamlet changing his life,it's really suprising-all in all ,the porduction,the details,I was only suprised it didn't stay in theaters longer,I'd wanted to see it again and at a drive in.

I have to say this one one of the funniest movie I have ever seen. I also don't understand why it offends Christians. Jesus doesn't do anything blasphemous in this movie, he just dances and tells a kid not to smoke. They were actually making a statement that "if Jesus were to return to today's society he would have to market himself as a celebrity to get noticed."
