Imagine sometimes walking 5 miles to the job site . Working your fingers to the bone , walking back to camp to sleep in a bug infested shack with your co workers . Do this day after day sometimes 7 days a week .. Then loose your monthly wages in one night of drunken gambling fun .. Month after , you get it .. It was their way of life, and it was brutal .
That was my great grandpa! I miss him dearly! I still have my baby spoon he made me 26 years ago and a bird church as well. R.I.P. Grandpa, You were an amazing man!
Damn... Now I have even more respect for these guys watching this clip. I am a naturalist who enjoys trees and all, but these guys were working the hardest job there was, you had almost as much risk of getting injured or killed as in an army.
