We really pay nothing for them to record, pay to other dozen people who work for and with them, make tours, and for them to pay their own bill$. As long as they make great music and take out new albums, im glad to spend money on the deftones.

record labels are like pimps... you make them money you lose most of said money, but they give you enough to live

If you read One For Chi, Chi Got cut off of Health Insurance at a point where things were limbo. Medical Cost are large especially when one would be in a coma. Most of these musicians aren't loaded. Even if they make a dollar a record you still have to pay the label, material production facilities, producers like Terry Date or whom ever is assisting in recording Plus there are more than one person in the band.I'm sure they have bills and house payments to pay for too.

Deftones have never sold more than a million records (White Pony) there last record hasn't sold more than 500000 split that between 5 members and they drop a record on average every three years. Deftones have said that they make there money touring and via tshirts...so don't be shy about donating to Chi for 20 years of some of the best metal!
