I can't believe how much hate there is for Matt Smith and the new episodes in here. I admit I am a huge Tennant fan and I didn't want to give Smith a chance "he's so young!"..etc, etc.
But I am so glad that I did! He is my favorite Doctor now. I love the energy and emotion that he brings to the character. And he is terribly cute to top it off :P

The first 3 episodes of the new series were AWFUL. So bad. They built the Silence up so much then they made it a complete FAIL. Not impressed. Then River Song came along.....can't stand her, THEN came the completely RIDICULOUS pirate episode. SO MUCH FAIL.
Then came episode 4 and 5....which were AMAZING. Absolutely incredible.
Didn't really get the pandorica,its the ultimate prison for the Dr but seemed very easy to open,even his sonic screwdriver worked.Doesn't make a lot of sense.
Quick question, there seem to be a lot of un-answered cliff hangers atm...
For me, I loved this series because of the way it wove together as a series rather than individual episodes.
But what about all the things like Amy's time? There were others that i forget...
Anyway, Apparently ever since Silence in the Library the whole River Song plot has been planned out over 3 years, are they planning everything else? Do they know where they're going with it all?

@No13DGfan thought it was shit myself, a brilliant series was ruined by the finale, everyone disappearing and returning again was just fucking stupid.
I still don't care much for Matt Smith. He comes across as much more of a smug jerk. However, I'm still enjoying the series, and still not gonna write him off yet... The way I hear it, the fourth doctor was pretty much a jerk too (he was the weird coat guy, ya?) but improved. Assuming Matt Smith keeps up (rumors persisting you know), I will probably come to eventually like him. But 9 was my first, and 10 is my favorite.
@WhoBoy93 To be fair, since a lot of american shows are around 20-25 minutes for 24 episodes, and we get 45-50 minutes for 13, Doctor Who actually gets more screen time... unless it's shows in American shows that do 45 minutes for 24 weeks... Glee doesn't deserve even TWO minutes on TV.

ooo. cant wait for this episode. i really dont like this whole being like forever behind in the US. i guess it wasnt so bad when we were 2 eps back, but then there were like two weeks of hiatus. i'm so afraid of spoilers with the last 2 episodes looming. for example, rory dying: i looked at my subscriptions and there was a vid entitled "rory dies" so that was ruined. i still like cried. i loved rory. i spose i could just buy the episodes from itunes.
oh my god that box they traped the doctor in looks just like the verron puzzle box that the trickster gave andrea yates in the sarah jane adventures. it was used to summon him . my theory is this riversong is part of the tricksters brigade and the future doctor knows this somehow but, was too late riversong (If thats her true name) kills him when he finds out. i think the trickster is behind the pandorica and the silence falling and riversong is helping him.
@doctorw2 To me it looked liked the Puzzle Box used by the Cenobites in the Hellraiser movies. Now *that* would be an interesting mash-up... I wonder if The Doctor would have a Companion whose skin was completely ripped off. ;-)
From what I've read and know about the finale, that it was genius of SM to be able to reboot the show and get rid of human knowledge of aliens, which IMO RTD overdid. The wait is killing me here in the US - I'm thinking of moving to the UK simply for the early airings
Matt smith is one of the best doctors. He is a fantastic actor. David tennant is brillant but he is more experinced so in my opinion he should be good. People just prefer David cos people find him more attractive.

Two questions that were going through my mind: 1. Ok so the Doctor is going to save the Universe by erasing himself from history. Umm.... What about all those OTHER times he saved the Universe? Are those disasters just gonna happen now?
2. Why is Amy's subconscious memory magically protected from all modifications to time and space?
Also I think the way the doctor came back was a little too magical even for doctor who.
by flying the pandorica into the tardis the space-time explosion of the ''light'' from the pandorica was sent to everywhere in everypoint in time, by doing this the doctor closed the crack in time and space, therefor no types of time travel have ever existed inside the universe's ''code'' and things like the dalek's where never able to travel to the earth and therefor it was just like everyday life in the real world, but when amy brought back.....

The Moff will not give anything away about the finale, saying its 55mins of soft music, so why would he let Karen say in an interview that she starts filming soon- 2 days before she is supposedly killed by auto-rory thus ruining the cliffhanger, unless 1. its a mis direction and she is not coming back or 2. Karen is coming back, but not as Amy but as her "true" self whoever that may be. Any thoughts?

I've read a potential spoiler that Rory helps the doctor out of the pandorica..and puts amy in there as it needs a source to prevent the end of the universe or sumthin
ok what i think is goint to happen is , rory will put amy into one of the cracks as he cant live with the memory of her so puts her and himself into a crack as he is now a man made of plastic , this would then have the outcome of removing the pandorical as it was created from amys memorys (which would no longer exist) so freeing the doctor but the doctor does remember amy and rory as he is a timelord thus bringing them back .. as for the hidden enemy ( i have no idea ) could be the master of old
@TheTripperlane and we have to remember that a tardis exploding on its own is not big enough an explosion to end the universe or all reality. It has to be something more to it than just the tardis exploding. Omega is from the anti matter universe and his anti matter meets matter can destroy the universe as has been told in previous stories. I heard rumours of it being omega behind it all and i really think that would be a huge letdown if true. Davros reality bomb had the potential to do it.

Two questions about the crack---1, in all shots of the crack following ep 1, there is white time energy behind it, BUT, in the first ep the crack has the Atraxi eye peering out from it. Any significance? 2, in Cold Blood the Doctor reaches in the crack to pull out the clue, BUT he previously established if the time energy light hits you, you vanish from existence. So, why didn't the Doctor?

ooo. cant wait for this episode. i really dont like this whole being like forever behind in the US. i guess it wasnt so bad when we were 2 eps back, but then there were like two weeks of hiatus. i'm so afraid of spoilers with the last 2 episodes looming. for example, rory dying: i looked at my subscriptions and there was a vid entitled "rory dies" so that was ruined. i still like cried. i loved rory. i spose i could just buy the episodes from itunes.

oh my god that box they traped the doctor in looks just like the verron puzzle box that the trickster gave andrea yates in the sarah jane adventures. it was used to summon him . my theory is this riversong is part of the tricksters brigade and the future doctor knows this somehow but, was too late riversong (If thats her true name) kills him when he finds out. i think the trickster is behind the pandorica and the silence falling and riversong is helping him.

From what I've read and know about the finale, that it was genius of SM to be able to reboot the show and get rid of human knowledge of aliens, which IMO RTD overdid. The wait is killing me here in the US - I'm thinking of moving to the UK simply for the early airings

Matt smith is one of the best doctors. He is a fantastic actor. David tennant is brillant but he is more experinced so in my opinion he should be good. People just prefer David cos people find him more attractive.

so what do you people think about the new series? I always hate the new doctor for the 1st 4 episodes lol but I already like this one. and what about the episodes? I think that the drama around this doctor is confusing, they are investing to much in is losts and I always have the sensation when he speaks of people he have lost he talks about Rose, the story is kind of stoped until this final lol Also this episodes are more scary then the others before. ò_ó what's up with those angels status? Two questions that were going through my mind: 1. Ok so the Doctor is going to save the Universe by erasing himself from history. Umm.... What about all those OTHER times he saved the Universe? Are those disasters just gonna happen now?
2. Why is Amy's subconscious memory magically protected from all modifications to time and space?
Also I think the way the doctor came back was a little too magical even for doctor who.

by flying the pandorica into the tardis the space-time explosion of the ''light'' from the pandorica was sent to everywhere in everypoint in time, by doing this the doctor closed the crack in time and space, therefor no types of time travel have ever existed inside the universe's ''code'' and things like the dalek's where never able to travel to the earth and therefor it was just like everyday life in the real world, but when amy brought back.....

DUH!!! I know he came back at the end genius. But BEFORE that he deleted himself from history. Meaning all those other disasters he saved the Universe from would've just happened and the Universe would ended long before Amy was even born, let alone magically remembered him back.

speculation time. The Moff will not give anything away about the finale, saying its 55mins of soft music, so why would he let Karen say in an interview that she starts filming soon- 2 days before she is supposedly killed by auto-rory thus ruining the cliffhanger, unless 1. its a mis direction and she is not coming back or 2. Karen is coming back, but not as Amy but as her "true" self whoever that may be. Any thoughts?

i can't wait to see what happens on saturday. my dad thinks this could be the last doctor who ep ever but i said i can't be because a time lord has 13 lives and with the recent success of the show would want to exploit that. still i reckon in the years to come and it's still running they'll screw that idea completely and keep new regenerations coming in some ludicrously mind-blowing shit way.

ok what i think is goint to happen is , rory will put amy into one of the cracks as he cant live with the memory of her so puts her and himself into a crack as he is now a man made of plastic , this would then have the outcome of removing the pandorical as it was created from amys memorys (which would no longer exist) so freeing the doctor but the doctor does remember amy and rory as he is a timelord thus bringing them back .. as for the hidden enemy ( i have no idea ) could be the master of old

@TheTripperlane and we have to remember that a tardis exploding on its own is not big enough an explosion to end the universe or all reality. It has to be something more to it than just the tardis exploding. Omega is from the anti matter universe and his anti matter meets matter can destroy the universe as has been told in previous stories. I heard rumours of it being omega behind it all and i really think that would be a huge letdown if true. Davros reality bomb had the potential to do it.

Two questions about the crack---1, in all shots of the crack following ep 1, there is white time energy behind it, BUT, in the first ep the crack has the Atraxi eye peering out from it. Any significance? 2, in Cold Blood the Doctor reaches in the crack to pull out the clue, BUT he previously established if the time energy light hits you, you vanish from existence. So, why didn't the Doctor?

@unremoved i think the doctor didnt get erased from hoistory mainly because you cant erase the doctor without erasing half the universe coz he's there in all of the big historical events like mount vesuvius "erupting", stopping the time war and destroying daleks, timelords and the nestene planets and other events so the universe would probly explode OR the time enerygy only erases you if YOU touch it instead of it touching you.
