Plenty of things you can do to punish jab spamming. The thing is, this Arakune just didn't know how to deal with the rushdown pressure. Either that, or he was nervous.

Things he could have done: 5A or 2A pokes when Noel was close; 1C slide when Noel is rushing in (which leads to curse if you have overhead cloud); etc.

Should have also put pressure on Noel instead of going for cloud so much. Something like 9B, 6B loops with mixups, etc. would have worked.

Lots of stuff Arakune did wrong.

Jab is hella punishable. For one, you could... y'know, prevent your opponent from getting in jab range in the first place. Two, you have an enormous amount of options if you *know* your opponent is going to jab; literally every character has dozens of attacks that outrange jabs (namely, all of their attacks that aren't a jab). Finally, ib throw. What's so hard about that?

I didn't say that, you took what I said wrong. First, I said that I think that a reason why I was able to win was because of the lack of high level Noel experience that the US has. There's very few high level players in the US, so those players only have each other to feed off of, they don't have a huge variety of good players using all sorts of various characters.

Under their conditions and everything against them, the US players performed far better than I expected. I was giving props to them

When they did use it, the A rarely hit and when it did hit it did crap damage. The times you seem to think it hit was actually Noel using an overhead. The problem you are citing literally is not in this video.

She landed standing A that KOed him without a combo and some jumping A's that led into Tiny damage.

I can't remember... only played the PS3 ver at Evo and the arcade ver once a while back. It didn't affect me much anyway 'cause Jin's combos are easy mode. Noel's 22C stuff requires actual timing though.

yeah noel is pretty difficult but i think arakune is hard to play have to get all those bug set-ups and in the beggining arakune had the oppurtunity for his ridiculous corner trap btu lost it regardless cant wait for continuum shift hopefully Nu is nerffed hella
