@RunnuR2008 Kinda what i say. Nancy Wilson from Heart may the be the only singer to nearly duplicate Grace Slick. Most people don't know that Grace did back-up singing on several of Hearts albums.

Get rid of him. She doesn't have Grace's punch but does ok. Song needs Casady-like bass to standout. Even with 3 strings at Altamont, Casady's bass worked.

She's pretty good - compare this back to back with Grace from '67 - a passable impression. But the backing is insipid and no attempt to do Jack Casady's bass line which is so much part of Airplane's sound.

The ironic thing is that , in their dotage, they finally got the rhythm right. The frenetic speed induced live performancesof this from the sixties are pretty bad. It's like they were rushing to catch a plane.

Actually the vocalist is pretty dang good. Turn down the co-vocalists mike, as it detracts from the performance.

Grace Slick et al had a lot of energy. They were an awesome act. Watch one of their videos, then remember that they were mega-stoned at the time.
