I made it to the last stage but i quit after jst getting there. I was like enough! i got here.....i'm happy. Glad to finally see the ending...great game....still would play it today on my master system. Never saw the nes version been reading how they all say it sucked...gonna go see it now.

Used to play this flat out, had a mate who despite the fact that I would nurse him through the entire game and swapped controllers, he would have 16+ lives and still not survive the last round to the end... never cracked the game in many years!

I swear on my life that the original version of this game is not beatable. Either that or there's a bug and it's not beatable on 2 player mode. I got to the end several times and the walls didn't blow up. This guy shoots at it a couple times and he wins. Not to mention the ending is just 2 graphics and some credits so it wouldn't be hard to add.

@BluffHappy Ha ha, I felt the same way. I made it to the very last part many many times but the wall just never blew up. Course I didn't know you could use your gun. Everything else you need your arrows for so I just kept blasting arrows at it.

@joerock4022 Yeah, you had to press the 2 player button if your 1 player gets a game over and vice versa, but it only works in the first 2 rounds I think.

@jnoble12 I believe the last stage is a metaphor for Rambo dealing with his inner demons (i.e. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder brought upon by the Vietnam war). The face at the end is his psyche that he is battling. The canon represents his id, while the tank represents his ego.

That or they just ran out of ideas.

if the enemie lost an object, you become nothing from the man in the house

I don't remember too well but... I think that at the beginning of the beach level, if you shoot the glowing rocks with an arrow, they blow up and you get power-ups.

There is a glitch in the game. First you need to get the special arrows. Then, do not burn the houses. Move slowly up until the houses are just below the screen. Fire a special arrow at the corner of the screen where the house would be. The spark of the arrow should hit the hidden house. You should get more special arrows by doing this.
